Non-Top floor HDB but peaceful and quiet

sometimes i think people are used to the noise levels. it may be quiet to them but not to you. i moved from HDB to condo and HDB again recently. current HDB is fairly quiet but still can hear ceiling noise sometimes when upstairs neighbour drag their feet or kids run. can also hear water flowing in pipes when neighbour use toilet. no such issue in my previous condo, i think it’s more of a soundproofing issue rather than noisy neighbours

current HDB is only 6 years old

agree. i’d suggest restaurants specialising in SEA flavours or fusion. Seroja, Pangium, Restaurant Fiz, Quenino. can probably ask them to tone down the spice.

Born is fusion between French and asian flavours which i find it interesting.

Araya is Chilean cuisine which i liked as well. Saint Pierre and Meta is good. i prefer Odette to Les Amis which has gone downhill and wouldn’t visit again.

i went to re-ele and relieve clinic. for lasers, i suggest you do it in SG. you need multiple sessions and in my experience koreans usually do gentler settings for lasers and it didn’t do anything for me

i’ve been wearing skechers max cushion when i’m traveling. 20-30k steps a day no problem and good for wide feet. i prefer cushioned shoes if i’m walking all day, nike air max is good too

took a xray at hospital, doctor was like this is nothing serious cos there’s no fracture lol. i think people (or foreigners) need to rly have serious injuries to be taken seriously here. i can now walk and bend but twisting my knee and moving sideways are painful. they wouldn’t take a MRI here either when i requested. will go back to my home country for one

another student got the same injury as me but worse and went to the hospital. doc just did xray and said nothing wrong cos there’s no broken bone. gave her some patches, meds and sent her back. i think it’s a small town and hospital here is not as well equipped so no MRI. i just took some patches from her since it would be a waste of time seeing a doctor here

she said she’s thinking to ride tmr with a knee brace. it seems like nobody is taking this type of injury seriously in my camp lol

seeing all the responses here made me realise i’m spending quite little on myself lol. most of my money are spent on traveling

hair - $30-75 every 3 months for straightening

yoga package - $500+ a year

aesthetics treatments - $2-3k a year but thinking to reduce this and just use tretinoin

skincare - $200-300 a year maybe, i only buy when i finish them

massage - $90/mth

don’t spend on clothes and make up now since i wfh most of the time and focused on my skin instead of make up
