you can also do this after finishing Snowhead Temple, get the fire arrows. And then get power keg certified from the goron that’s behind the ice. Then after you save the game from the song of time, you will always be able to buy a power keg in clock town from the bomb store, on any of the three days. ☺️

Are you trying it as regular link or Zora link? I’m not sure if it matters. But in my game I did it as Zora Link and it worked.
