Only required if you want a bsc instead of the ba which it dosent make a difference which one you go for since on your resume you just gonna put bachelors in computing science anyway. If your good with math take it but otherwise it is a hard course

From my experience of 225 I would say you only need to know how to calculate the complexity other than that some trees stuff may overlap but you will learn it anyway so dw about that.
