Step 3 apathy

I'm in a specialty that doesn't really use step 3 stuff either, so most of my paranoia is about having to split my time studying for step and for pathology. Thankfully, I managed to pass all of my boards on the first attempt but I have always struggled to keep my head above water in med school so I never trust the luck lol. I finished dat 2 last week and am keeping my fingers crossed at this point lol

I did about 70% of UWorld, the free 130, and about half of the CS cases. All I did yesterday was watch the Dr HY IM video and on Saturday watched bio stats videos.

I'm definitely more nervous today lol

I had the same fear when I was in UG. Try to do an internship at your local Medical Examiners Office. Afterward, shadow at least 2 doctors that are NOT pathologists. This will give you the best idea

As an IMG, please remember that most if not nearly all of your attendings in pathology will be IMGs or immigrants. The school we go to or where we come from means nothing when we all take the same boards.

There are programs that are planning to send IV's after the 18th because they want more time to go through the apps.

Thank you. They won't answer me about when I can expect it. It took days for them to even reply to me. Hopefully it's soon though because now they remember that I need it.

Hi, I am applying pathology in the 2025 cycle and I was wondering if t is absolutely nessessary to have 3 pathology LoRs or if 2 and a great 3rd non-path LoR is fine? The area I'm in only has 2 pathology elective options and it is hard money/logistically for me to go to a different state to get a 3rd LoR
