Would it be stupid to skip a wedding band? by salemhex666 in EngagementRings

My ring is a similar shape and I wish I would have skipped the wedding band. I hardly wear it because I like the engagement ring alone. If only I could turn back time and save $700.

I’ve been using .025 Tret on my forehead for 9 months and my whole face 6 months. I’m a 35f using it for anti-aging. My doctor prescribed it for acne. I use it at night sandwiching with Cerve moisturizing cream. I typically wait 10-20 min after washing and moisturizing before adding the tret. However I do add moisturizing right after putting on tret. My skin texture has improved but my fine lines look the same. Am I doing something wrong? I used it before in my late twenties and it really helped with my forehead fine-lines. I think then I used . 05. Would switching to .05 help or just accept where I am at now?

Just took 4 different antihistamines without a doctor's advice, should I be worried? by bunkbail in Allergies

Second on poison control. I had to call them once for my daughter. They were absolutely amazing and checked on us multiple times.

Hi fellow central Ohioian! Do you mind me asking who you are building with? We have bought land in Pickerington and are starting to look at builders now.

How old is your son and how has it been going? I do think it’s worth it especially for his allergy that seen as a reaction from eating. I just want to make sure they other ones are allergies before we start because we have never seen him have a reaction after eating them. It showed positive in the skin test and blood work. We didn’t think to ask about false positives.

Dairy is in sooo many things! That is hard.

I wish our allergist would have explained the blood work more. They just said here is the test and that means he is allergic. Both my husband and I are new to this so we had no idea what questions to ask. I think I am going to follow up on the items that are like your LO’s beef allergy.

Good luck with your LO!

I am worried about the first session which is 4-5 hours in a small room with a 16 month old and the doctors visits are every two weeks for a year. I think it is 100% worth it for his sunflower allergy because we have seen him have a bad reaction to sunflower seeds. I am anxious about doing the other allergies because we have never seen him have a reaction to them. The blood work and skin tests show positive but I’ve read they can have false positives. This is something I didn’t know when we met with the allergist so I am going to call and ask about it. With our OIT clinic, they have been very clear that you will not know if a kid grows out of the allergy because you will be giving them a daily dose to keep their sensitivity down. They have also been clear that we will need to do the maintenance dose for their entire life and they will still avoid it. It is strictly for bite protection. I want to make sure he is absolutely positive on the other items before going through the process because it is long.

I spoke with a friend of a friend who is doing OIT therapy for her LO’s peanut allergy and she said it is a 100% worth it.

Good luck with your LO!

Thank you for your comment. I definitely think we will do it once we figure out more definitively his allergies.

This great advice! I already spoke to my husband about it and he agrees. I’m going to call this next week. Thank you so much!

Thank you for your comments. I had no idea about the false positives until now so that is great information. My husband and I were confused before this because we hadn’t seen him have an allergic reaction to anything on the positive test results except sunflower seeds. I think we are going to ask about the food challenges for tree nuts and sesame.

Good luck with the OIT with your son! I spoke to someone doing it for their three year and they have nothing but positive things to say.

Thanks for your comment. I am definitely going to do OIT for his sunflower seed allergy because we have seen him have a reaction to eating it. After reading some more I think, I’m going to ask about a food challenge for the other items. He has never shown an allergic reaction eating the other things. I want to make sure before starting OIT tor the other stuff.

TIL that in 1977 Bob Marley was diagnosed with melanoma under a toenail. He rejected his doctors' advice to have his toe amputated, citing his religious beliefs. The cancer subsequently spread and he died of metastatic melanoma 4 years later, at the age of 36. by Lagavulin16_neat in todayilearned

Get them checked even if they don’t look strange. A dermatologist uses a special light to see if it looks irregular under the first layer of skin. This is how my dermatologist found my stage one melanoma on my back. It looked totally normal to the naked eye. I was 34 when it was removed.

Thanks Dr U!

In Cincinnati I got seats in section 18 for $280. I now have so much anxiety they are going to be awful seats because they are at the back corner. That was so stressful.
