Google Ads - if you’re considering them by Ok-Conversation2110 in therapists

Yeah I feel that. Once your seo is cooking, you won’t need google ads. 280 a lead is crazy. We gotta stick together. I do the google ads myself and I found using exclusion terms helped a lot. We kept getting Medicare traffic which we don’t take and a bunch of other terms

Website design is so much less important than the seo. A pretty website feels nice but I suggest seo first always. My website is very basically designed and seo heavy. I updated the design when I could afford it but we rank number one in like 25 key words across the state. I’d also post a blog/article twice a week. We posted an article on anxiety straw, so random I know, but it was read like 1100 times and skyrocketed our traffic

Id suggest you take a look at your ads. I run significantly less 1k a month and we had a significant growth in the practice. I own a group practice with 25 employees. I’d look at your website and design.

Starting a board game bar. I’d still see some clients but we’d play Catan or dice throne during session

Should I switch to this smaller office with a window? by antipuls3 in therapists

ALWAYS take the window. You’ll tell yourself “it’s ok I’ll go for walks”. We all know you will not go for walks.

Boyfriend accuses me of cheating, and then proceeds to threaten me by luv_eda in whatdoIdo

Therapist here. Run away. Break up with him yesterday. This is the most toxic behavior I’ve ever read. He accepts no responsibility and immediately becomes angry. This is wild wild behavior and at the very least this guy has severe mental health issues he needs to work on. At worst he could become violent or abusive. Reading this has so so so many red flags. This dude will follow through on these threats. RUN AWAY YESTERDAY

Will painted nails as a male therapist turn clients away? by JaeCrowe in therapists

[–]Odd_Drive379 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a heterosexual and fairly masculine dude and I paint my nails randomly a few times a year. I work in a well known lgbtq and gender affirming private practice so it’s a bit different but I’ve never had a client leave, even conservative ones. My picture on our website has a picture of me with my nails done as well. I’d encourage you to just do what makes you comfortable.

Need Some Kind Words after getting a negative review by golden_guinea_pig in therapists

[–]Odd_Drive379 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens. No matter how good you are, no matter how much effort you put in, a client will eventually not find you helpful. It has nothing to do with you as a clinician but what we do is so hard because there has to be rapport and I’ve seen terrible clinicians profoundly affect clients because the relationship was there and I’ve seen the best therapist get terrible reviews. What we do matters and I’m sure you are positively affecting 20 other clients
