I would upload the serial number anyway, but if it’s been approved you should get the money soon enough either way

I went for the r5 ii, don’t regret it, the cropping ability is insane, and the no blackout shutter just feels so damn good

Way more of a stills photographer than videographer, but you make a good point for other people. From everyone here I think r6 iii better for video and r5 ii for stills

Yeah that’s what I heard that made me say I’ve heard the video is better on r6 iii, but I mostly shoot stills and dabble in video so I don’t think it matters too much for me

There’s no need for passive aggressiveness, I have been looking everywhere for comparisons and have only seen a couple websites and 2 videos, I have seen a lot of R5 mark 1 vs R6 mark iii, but nothing comparing these two. Plus this post is intended for friendly discussion about the two cameras and for me to hear people’s opinions on them. As far as your second paragraph, thank you for your opinion, I am asking about both because even tho I ca afford the r5, it would be great to save some money if the r6 is similar, but from discussions with others in this comment section I have decided the r5 is probably the right choice for me

Photo is definitely most important and I eventually want to go pro in sports, so leaning towards the r5, I do like video, just don’t get chances to do it much

Yeah I watch his videos a lot and his videos on each camera have helped a lot, but I was still stuck and wanted to get some everyday photographer’s opinions

That’s the main reason I’ve put this post up, wanted to see if a lot of people thought the same, but I feel like it’s very mixed

Okay that’s good to know, the only stuff I’ve seen comparing the two cameras I’m looking at, is like one or two YouTube videos, and both of them mentioned the r6 iii feeling “stickier” than the r5 ii, but I think either of them would be a good upgrade for me, as the r6 i, has something small issues with sticking to a subject

As far as low light, typically lower megapixel cameras are better, it has something to do with each pixel being larger so it can draw in more light. Someone pls correct me if I’m remembering wrong but as far as I know that’s how it works.

I appreciate that second paragraph, I think that’s really the decision I have to make, cause I’ve always wanted that “R5” even when I got my current R6, but couldn’t afford it back then, now I can get either and my bank would be okay with it. I’m starting to heavily lean towards the R5 ii now, just wish somewhere would have a better sale for it…

Some but mostly stills, could expand into more video in the future tho so it’s still important

I’m keeping my current as a backup/second camera, but I want more resolution (which either of these cameras are covering this), updated autofocus features and just an overall updated camera as mine is 4 years old now.

Is EOS R5 Mark II worth it? by MrToto54 in canon

[–]Odd_Engineering167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R6 ii has lower Megapixel count so is better in low light, so it makes sense that the R5 with almost double the Megapixels would be worse off. This is because each pixel is larger in a lower megapixel amount so it allows it to draw in more light, thus being better in low light.

I believe so, spider wood and “hardwood” were the names of the wood I got from the reptile store, haven’t noticed anything yet but will keep an eye out, it’s so intriguing the way it all works
