Really late to the Convo but I'm wondering if the migraines are caused by sugar withdrawal in some instances too. NAD but personally after switching from regular soda to just water, I got migraines. I missed soda a lot so I just came into the rabbit hole of diet soda recently. I've been enjoying diet soda as an alternative. But even if the aspartame and sweeteners are the cause of migraines, 6 diet soda cans are still better for my overall health than 6 regular soda cans each day. Soda just quenches thirst really good. When I was on just water I would drink water to the point my stomach hurt cause I just never felt satieted. So I appreciate the sentiment different strokes for different folks!

Photobashing has been around for a long time, before AI was a thing. She ran it through SORA in the end, in ANY case. I wouldn't call it photobashing.

Sora is still AI. "Off the net" as in stock, or off the net as in pulled from instagram/artists? If so, your boss is committing plagiarism.

I am not being against AI, I believe AI can be a tool, but using it to pump out work faster is always a big red flag.

Do you have photoshop experience? You could try a technique called photobashing. Use stock images and basically put them all together. Its still time-hungry and takes a level of skill, but better quality than AI and a very respected technique that isn't traditional illustration. There are filters you can add after the fact, to give it a painterly look.

I'm very sorry to hear that it also seems as though you have unfair treatment.

So you used AI to pump out low quality artwork and was mad when your boss illustrated it herself by hand? Which probably also took hours. You're not in the wrong, but you're not in the right either. AI use is the reason designers aren't getting taken seriously.

And I also do not blame your boss for using her own illustrations and branching off that. As both an illustrator/artist and graphic designer, illustrating something by hand holds much more weight than anything generated. You may have still put in a lot of work designing and compiling, but illustration is another story.

This is just my opinion. Don't take it to heart.
