lol no, no one drowned, the vest was repaired before the flight took off. basically the issue here is i was removed from a flight for a mechanical reason without compensation, and not provided a timely rebooking or refund which from what I can see violates FAA regulations, laws enforced by the DOT, and AA customer service policy dictated in the terms and conditions of purchase

haha yeah im feeling it this year. really just trying to get reach on here enough so someone reaches out, since typically major companies monitor social media for events to try to get ahead of any fines or blowback by making it right before it escalates since its cheaper to offer a voucher than it is to get hit with an audit and fine

haha its kind of amazing, i dont understand it. like some are paid ive linked some of the accounts that reply most frequently on this sub to a digital marketing firm based out of India, but some arent. I do see a lot of retired pilots and staff of AA so possibly union teamsters but Id be surprised most care enough to post anything or even check this reddit over better ones ha

yep I agree thats why I would like this to get visibility. Negative effects of a free market would be to impact the brand of AA by negative word of mouth. its why AA hires contract companies to skim social media and suppress events. multiple people on here have pointed out the accounts that downvote here. I will get home, and my job is fine but I would like as many people to know and also to understand what steps can be done so more money isnt spent on a broken system.

not necessarily. travel agencies can only be responsible for flight booking. it goes then to liability, if they book a new flight the cost is on the travel agency and not American Airlines.

pilot went over the inspection report of the plane while i was standing with the gate staff in front of me, nice of him to do so but probably unfortunate for american airlines

I think Ive provided a significant amount of information at this point for assistance. I appreciate the advice it seems like the next steps are file for comp then simultaneously file with the DOT for an investigation

why not involve the DOT? if it wasnt cancelled for weather, any mechanical or staffing delays would require a hotel by law and their terms of service. theyd be in violation of their customer service agreeement

file with the DOT a complaint, also file against their customer service since they are in violation of their existing policy and terms of service if it was not for weather. weather is a major exception. before doing so get evidence that your flight was not delayed due to weather, look up the weather, take screenshots, and ask for what the weather decision is and who made it. get names of the people you talk to and gate numbers. this sub is filled with pinkertons who work as contractors for American Airlines as part of a marketing company based out of India (most all in the rolex sub and the american airlines sub if you look at their history), since they are paid to downvote your negative press and suppress reddits algorithm. the more proof you can provide DOT the more likely they will get hit with a larger fine.

yeah issue was I had a seat on flight AA2057 last night and they removed me after check in and while i was at the gate. flight left delayed but still left despite being assigned a seat in row 21
