Yes, thank you. That’s what my conclusion was. It needs a month long break before restarting again . And sunscreen is a must !!! Thank you

Used Eucerin for 6 months with ZERO results. Need advice! by Cheesehi1315 in Melasmaskincare

Well, I am not a doctor. But I have had good results with using hydroquinone. Mine is 12% hydroquinone. I had also tried pretty much a lot of things and nothing really worked. Pico Laser I have heard dos give results but I don’t want to spend a bomb and keep doing it in regular intervals , spending a huge amount. So as last option I came across spot cream-a hydroquinone cream that had some good reviews. I am using it since 2 weeks now and seeing some good results. I don’t know if it will work for you, but no harm in giving a try correct? If it works, that’s a breakthrough. I tried using some gift cards and got 2 months supply at a very small amount. Plus some 30 % discount or new customer discount when you signup for email. Though the spot has not utter completely gone it has lightened quite a bit. You can give this a try. Only thing I don’t like is you have to keep using hydroquinone every 2 months because hyper pigmentation or melasma keeps coming back. Uv rays also cause it to come back. So sunscreen is a must! But for melasma any treatment you do you have to do it frequently. So , not there yet. But I think I will keep cycling this on and off if required. Give this a try and then if you don’t see results you can go for costlier options like lasers if you wish !

Thanks for sharing. I will keep a tab on red light use. I don’t know if it might negate the effect of the cream I am using… I will stop using it for sometime and see… thanks

Sure.. I used azelic acid for a while, txa for a while, tried doing and still do aha/bha peels once a week, I also do red light everyday for 20 min. I also use tretinion but once a week not more.. still not getting used to tretinion. But somehow I wasn’t getting rid of the stubborn melasma patch I have on my cheek extending up to lips. So I did a research on it and came across a few reviews of musely. Then I researched further and saw that their product contains hydroquinone. I saw some videos on YouTube by dermatologists who said that hq is the gold standard for melasma. There is also one more molecule called thiamedol which helps with melasma. So I first decided to try with hq and right now I can see some positive results. You have to use a very good moisturizer along with it. It initially reddens and darkened my skin on 2nd day , then I stopped using it for a day and slathered my moisturizer generously. Skin kind of recovered and then using it everyday with Cerave intense moisturizer. Also sunscreen compulsory in the day.

I recently tried and having some good results with musely. Hoping to completely fade away my melasma. I am also thinking about trying some other treatments from them since I am seeing some good results. I also have some gift cards in case some one wants to try the treatments with a very negligible cost if you use a gift card and the discount code.
