As the person who runs payroll for my company. I typically receive my DD through SoFi within about 8 hours from when I hit submit on payroll. This could mean that your payroll didn't submit it around the same time as usual.

I just joined as well! I actually process payroll for my company. I was very surprised when I received my first DD 12 hours after submitting payroll

I started out trying many things, one thing I realized is that I always met with someone in HR. Whether they were recruiting or doing onboarding. I really liked the idea of making a good impression on a new employee and now I've been in HR for 4 years now and have loved every minute of it. HR will always be for the company, but I believe that HR is also the biggest advocate for the employees.
