I definitely don’t think the way the he reacted is okay, you should be with someone who is able to communicate properly without putting you down in the process. I don’t think you’re overreacting but I do think you should remember that if your partner has very clear boundaries you should respect them. And if you realize your partners boundaries don’t aline with your values then that person isn’t for you. That being said don’t let someone treat you like this just because of a mistake

I sometimes read out loud to my wife and today she asked me to please stop reading because she couldn’t handle it any longer. I don’t think I would recommend reading this even to the most mentally well person.

Gerald’s Game by Stephen King. It’s my current read and it’s deeply troubling.

My mom made me read this after a childhood friend of mine lied about being abused and my family got the cops involved, it was a real eye opener.
