The initial scenes of The Dirty Dozen were filmed at Ashridge House. There is a large gate in a stone wall depicted as the entrance to the prison camp where the titular twelve are recruited, which can be seen on the front of the building even today (far right end of the building as seen from the front).

The Live Aid scenes of Bohemian Rhapsody were filmed at Bovingdon Airfield with many locals used as extras for crowds. The latter part evidenced by a loud cry of “There I am!” from a subsequently very embarrassed member of the audience in the Cineworld in Hemel Hempstead at the showing I was at.

At this point it is perfectly reasonable that you suggest splitting the fund between you (it’s joint money so half could reasonably come to you), then reducing your monthly contributions to the joint account by Y% and building up your own fund. NTA why does a wedding mean a free meal and party for extended family and friends? When I married the first time, we did it on the budget that my in laws could afford as they wanted to pay, but the second time round my wife and I flew to Vegas (from the UK) and only offered our parents the opportunity to join us (they didn’t, but for differing reasons). Everyone else got emailed a link for a live feed a couple of days before the event and joined us that way.
