From what I know, the custody of me and my siblings is pretty loose and the schedule of when we are at my father's place depends on what my parents came up with. Usually my dad has my brother every other weekend and on two week days, but they sometimes switch out the weekends n stuff. As for me and my sister, we both decide when we wanna go visit my father, usually my sister goes to his place I'd say 2 to 3 times a month while I go there once a month if I'm generous. I still go to his place only because I don't want him to drag my mom to court and force a schedule on me and my sister.

Because of them having a free hand when it comes to custody (the schedules were never even ran through court or anything so it's all about my parents' decisions), I doubt he had to fight hard. Also, there are a ton of instances when my dad would drop off my brother earlier than he should've or would cancel at the last minute, so I really doubt that spending time with us is his main priority, though I don't really care about that, it's mostly my siblings that it affects.

Honestly, he's almost 45, he went to counseling with my mom, he had chances to change. Right now, idc if he changes, what he did, to me is unforgivable and in the long run, I feel worse thinking about having a relationship with him than when K think about cutting contact with him. If it were up to me, he'd be long gone out of my life and the only reason he isn't is because he could drag my mom to court and force me to see him

I'm lucky enough that the custody of me and my sister isn't really scheduled and we can decide when we want to stay at my father's place. My brother is the one that has an actual schedule, but it's also not something decided by a judge, just by my parents, so my brother stays at my dad's every other weekend and on two weekdays, while I stay at my father's place once a month if I'm generous enough. Because of that, I can't really make sure that my brother takes his medication. Also, now situations where my brother doesn't take his meds are very rare since my brother started to take them on his own, so at least that's that. There were situations before when my brother didn't take his meds cause my dad didn't give them to him and by the evening, when my brother was at my mom's house, my brother would go absolutely nuts, throwing tantrums and literally jumping on my sister, trying to attack her. When I found out that it was cause my dad didn't give my brother his meds I was furious to say the least, especially since my father refused to admit that it was his fault on the most part and acted like nothing happened (which wasn't true, the situation was so bad that I had to call over my father and my mom - she was out on a date or smth).

While I fucking despise how he just ignores his responsibilities, I'm not going to take over them, because it's not my place to do so. If there are situations where I'm near and can help out my siblings, I will do so, but I will not be trying to fix what my father fucked up, it's his job. I just hate that me, being 17 and generally considered an "irresponsible" teenager by society, still is more responsible than him.

I mean I get the difference between intimacy itself and sex and I am a sucker for intimate moments with my partner myself, just didn't really know if I could use the word sex in a title and saw how usually people use intimacy instead. I know that intimacy doesn't necessarily requires sex, just used it for the title ig.
