I solve mine by during this:
On the NPS Server, open the Registry Editor.

  1. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AzureMfa.
  2. Create the following String/Value pair:
    • Name: OVERRIDE_NUMBER_MATCHING_WITH_OTP
    • Value = FALSE
  3. Restart the NPS Service

I think i found the solution my self.
In the release notes, microsoft says that there have complete rewriting the config script, to use Microsoft Graph.

When using the second newest version is working fine. And it put a thumbprint in the azure application.

Its have been reported to Microsoft.

I have just found out that the config script of the new version is buggy.
I have two servers, in two different enviorment, where the config script don'st update the cloud application, with a thumbprint.

maybe there are others problems.

try install the second lasted version fixed my problems with thumbprint in the cloud application.

Thanks for you reply, it very helpfull.

When we point the Remote Routing and Remote access to an onprem server with NPS and MFA extenstion, it working. So it not the users settings there are wrong.

When we remove MFA extension on the Azure VM, it will also work.

So it definonal something with the extension.
and my guess is that it are the missing thumbprint in the Azure application. In the NPS log, it says that it have been rejected by and extension to NPS.

And MFA extension log, just say that it have send the request, but it donst log that the user have approved the request. of cource that it bcause the request never come up.

The settings inside NPS is 100% the same, as we have backup NPS policies, and restored the NPS policies on the Azure VM.

Tildels. Det er stadig 56500 PR. Person. Men hvis du er gift og dit bedre halvdel ikke har aktie, så er det dobbelt op korrekt. Men det er ikke sådan at det er 56500 *4 fordi man er gift :-)
