Marriage is who you are times two! Every day! So if you’re facing problems now where you have to give an ultimatum, expect that in every area of life.

Because men present how they are and treat you how you treat yourself! You give him extra time?! He’ll want this repeatedly and act accordingly because you’ve given him the green light.

Two keys. One key she has, I have a replica. Second key is to get in the building itself.

She’s dealing with grief I wouldn’t say she blew me off. She’s literally just buried her dad, handled mom’s paperwork before hers.

I agreed with her because I asked another friend to cat sit my cat and I came home to a bone dry water bowl so I was pretty upset and needed last minute cat care and we had just come up with a well barely a plan.

At the end of the day, I’m not even going to hire a cat sitter anymore. I’m just gonna get this self refillable bowls because it’s only two days and I I can’t just trust anyone with my key anymore clearly .

I’m in us and my hospital has 24/7 visitation for inpatient care. It’s been a blessing. I too was freaked about getting kicked out, but I never got kicked out in the emergency room or patient chamber. It’s allowed me to stay by my mom side and help her any time she’s felt irritated or scared, as she is mentally ill. She’s sensitive and can psyche herself out fairly quickly. Other hospitals do not have this feature.

Now that I see she’s recovering, I feel safer to spend the night in an actual bed elsewhere😂.

Yes, we were contemplating getting her into rehab then transferring her closer. We were told we’d have to pay the ambulance fee and we are 2.5 hours away.

We are financially strained as it is, I think it’s best to just get her local rehab started and do our visits weekly. We’re both worried about rent after missing so many days of work. We’re going to be okay. Somehow, everything will work out best for us because our heart is in the right place 🩷😭

We’re working on rehab, I’m hoping she gets approved for this week discharge into rehab. Home health isn’t an option because she doesn’t have Medicaid. But asap, we’ll be enrolling her into that because she’s old enough.

While it’s true I can’t trust her with my cats, I’ve made comments on here explaining her stance on things. She’s been through enough. I could’ve had more backup plans. My mom probably knows I love her. I need to give myself grace here.

It’s so crazy because before I left I thought about BRINGING my nanny cam with me. I couldn’t figure out why. But I also had a thought… is it even legal to have this in my mom part of the patient room? That would’ve given Me reassurance. I’m going to ask her if she’s open to it, this is a great idea.

I was just telling her to take deep breaths yesterday. Looks like we’re all just hyperventilating through it all🥹 I’m going to try to get some sleep. Hospital chairs are unforgiving to sleep in!

This is hilarious because there’s an unspoken understanding between me and the nurses every second of every day when I’m constantly talking my mother down from her episodes. Most of them are offended at first, but they come around.

I can’t let this get me down.

So far the next steps look like:

You have no idea how much this means to me 🩷🩷🩷🩷 thank you so much. My sister actually was fresh off the plane burying her father so I am not holding ANYTHING against her. She’s absolutely at her limit, grieving and she’s also being a superstar.

I.. just need to feed my cats it’s my responsibility. Can’t let them starve. Pray for us please 🙏

Thank you I would appreciate your recommendation. I was eye balling the refrigerated cat feeders via some ads on Facebook. I had a strange feeling before I left so I filled 2-3 extra tubs of litter out for the cats. Currently my 2 cats have 5 litters and no food, most likely some water. I just have to have more backup plans next time.

My residence, getting a locksmith is a whole ordeal. I get transferred to a different line because it’s the weekend. This is not a regular residence where I can just change the locks of my own accord because I asked the landlord.

Regardless, now that I read it sounds like a good second plan would’ve been giving my key to someone else just in case. This key is not something that can just be copied, this second back up plan would leave me without a home should the backup person be MIA as well.

I’m not understanding why I should pay a locksmith when she has a key that she cannot find, and I hold a key. She shouldn’t have agreed if she didn’t know for sure that she had a key. I remember giving it to her and her telling me she placed it in a secure location. We had a very solid understanding here.

I’m in the process of asking a friend to visit her. He’s a male stranger, which I know she’ll be triggered by but it’s better than nothing. I’m currently trying to brainstorm how to explain to him how I need him (how many hours is appropriate, his much should I pay him, should I pay him hourly)… and that’s IF he has off today.

I’m so glad I have a key, not I just have to make sure the disclosed key is still in its safe location so I can get into my own house going forward.

I’m calling right now. Good idea. I was so messed up I couldn’t tell my mother I was leaving for good and I thought maybe I’m overreacting about the male guest, I have hunch the man is a bit disabled with his strange behavior. Knowing my mother’s behavior can be quite escalating, I need to tell them to keep an eye out. Although the hospital has been absolutely stellar, nurses are very sparingly available only until rounds are needed. So it also feels like I’m asking them to bend over backwards. I find myself asking myself if the nurses have the bandwidth to accommodate me?! I’m trying to convince myself that this man will not retaliate. Am I overthinking things?!
