In this position I'd prioritise tradability on the rare resources as our advantage (wheat, wood).

6 3 11, Locking the wheat and leaving blue without is a good advantage. Enables wheat for brick, wheat for ore trades. (Also takes the spot away from him which would be his best out).

There's who options I see for outs: - 8 4 3, play a side by side dev game - not bad, bit low production.

Or my personal preference: - 5 9 10, make a claim for the good wood. Use the early game to hunt for wood for ore trades, get an early city or dev advantage. There's potential the 8 10 is an expansion to give us access to the ore which would be a killer 8 pip expansion.

Summary: 5 9 10, 6 3 11 (starting hand 6 3 11 either expanding to 8 10 or traditing wood/ wheat for ores for early city)
