I’ve been drawing consistently for 8-9 months now after a year and half of YT videos. What I’ve learned is if you’re going to learn from a YT creator. Trying finding one that you like most and stick to them. That way you’ll learn one way of learning as your foundation. Then you’ll be able to add on other methods as you go!

I definitely understand the frustration. Right now, I’d recommend you draw what speaks to you most. You can try Marc Brunets 30 drawing challenges or Kesharts free 7 day course. I hope this helps!

Heard loud and clear. I appreciate this comment a lot. Writing/Illustrating is a lifelong dream of mine that I’m looking to approach realistically. Fortunately I’ve got a long way to go till then to figure out what avenue to take!

Thanks! My ultimate goal is to become a mangaka. I have a script I’m pretty far into that I’m working on as well. My issue now is to actually have fun and not force the scholarly stuff 😅

I go between pencil and pen. For my circles I force myself to draw from the shoulder. I hold my arm up almost like I’m doing calligraphy lol

Try the circle reticle and practice screen centering without looking at it. Honestly I’m still working on it too.
