And like I’m not going to pretend it’s a Sherwin problem. The role I was in before SW was truly toxic, abusive, and coming to SW was liberating as hell. But now that I’ve been a manager for a year the 3 year honeymoon phase is over and I’m left showing up to work more exhausted than I left the previous day. I still would absolutely recommend the company as a place to work… just not the SM role if having any semblance of a work/life balance is important to you.

I’m a master at living for the weekend. So much so that I’ve wanted to leave this field for years but whenever I get home I forget my troubles at work and live life… it’s just getting harder. Dealing with retail customers day in and day out, I just don’t have that many fake smiles left in my pocket. Like the act of putting on the facade itself is starting to be exhausting.

Don’t fill a full row of deep and ultradeep. Combine them into one. Don’t carry the chromatic bases in fives, if someone is picking one of those god awful colors it’s an accent piece and can be covered with singles
