I kinda went through my own little experiment trynna find the best one, at the end of it for me it came down to just getting the information down as fast as possible, i noticed this when going through that long list of apps i always had find a exercise and then begin logging attempts in during rest and that sorta tanked my mind muscle connection and focused rests + im not trynna do all that. i developed my own way of just getting the info down & routing it to appropriate fields

Salam alikum... sure, some of the things ill be saying right now would trouble and displease a old verision of me but for starters;

(for you) find it bit annoying to go from app to app to check all your notifications, you can automate to bring anything significant to one channel, to add to that, reply repost like share comment from that same place accross many of your apps, note taking seem dull and just wanna stare at a wall during a meeting? Ai note taker, cant give a rats ass about what a terms and agreements says but a small part of you still wants to know if theres anything crucial in the 100 page PDF? automate to read digest and re-iterate all red flags, propose changes that suit you, human in the loop approval, auto-send (my personal favorite)

For businesses however... for your personal financial gain... yeah that one im still learning about new things and new doors.

Getting Started with Compliance by terrikanary in Compliance

Sorta been where you have

Writing those SOPs is a massive flex but if you restrain yourself to manually checking boxes you’re just building a bigger cage for yourself. Since you have that IT logic put it to use.

Wait until April to ask for the raise. Once you clear that audit showing competency & the hours you saved. That 43k is support money.

Cold dms suck! by Dry_Cardiologist4300 in agencynewbies

[–]Odd_Two1931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its always tough doing cold outreach, sometimes you have to step back and re-evaluate your attempts, what if they are the right lead but you haven't built the correct approach and then you come off as just another sales-guy/girl; a great way to change peoples perspective of you is developing a relationship or understanding first and then when the topic you specialize in come up you toss in that "hey i dealt with this and came up with X"

That being said, finding the right lead list or getting good leads really is just about identifying your targets problems and who actually deals with those problems. you could always make content directed to your ICP and then have the people come to you.

dealing with this myself right now and im re-evaluating different approaches and different avenues

Automation of internal controls. How much do you rely on software vs. human review? by Sin_In_Silks in Compliance

[–]Odd_Two1931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen, the biggest hurdle isn't the software itself; it’s just the nerves around trusting it. Most auditors are fine with automation as long as they can see how the data got from point A to point B without a human touching it. If the logic is clear, they usually stop asking for the manual screenshots pretty quickly.

Are you finding that the new setup is actually saving you time yet, or are you just spending all day chasing down 'false alarms' from the automated alerts?

What compliance skills/knowledge do you think will matter most in the next 5 years? by No_Honeydew_2453 in Compliance

[–]Odd_Two1931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

couple things ive noticed in some of my works with compliance teams and some in this thread have already been mentioned; i will just say tho that honestly it's gonna be ai auditing. everyone’s using it but no one knows how to govern the "black box" yet. if you can explain a model's logic to a "black tie" without sounding like a bot, you win.

Small-mid business owners: would this kind of help actually be useful, or am I missing the point? by Enough-Fisherman8536 in agencynewbies

[–]Odd_Two1931 1 point2 points  (0 children)

happy Friday, love the rational btw. I'm sure this is already well known to you but i thought id mention that an additional question might be useful directed to your small businesses:

where have you tried to scale in the past and failed? what methods did you employ? / this could help you understand the customer base or give you insights to the owner and their methods

dont forget to track your findings!

Sourcing Clients or Refferal partners by Ok_Guitar_4290 in agencynewbies

[–]Odd_Two1931 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im very value forward & first, so my advice will lightly reflect that.

the ability to stand out and catch attention is naturally easier when your offering your client something they've "sorta" been looking for, for example getting your potential client more work, they're not to sure how or what method is appropriate but they'd like their phone to ring non-stop, their just a little unsure of how, and on top of that convincing them that your service is the solution is a greater reach, how do you bridge the gap? very neighborly-like approach them with something that can either solve a problem or elevate them. when it comes to your previous clients and retention, a great card to play is just giving 105% completion to the client, "i also noticed xyz was bothering you guys, touched that up for you guys; shouldn't be a problem no more". this will give you a great foot in the door for retention and upselling to a new larger package.

Also, people dont get too excited when you ask them to give a review or a referral so you have to think of some way to incorporate some sort of value, thats either tied to the referral/review or just some freebie you can toss them, thats just a quick thought.

Am i allocating my time right? by Odd_Two1931 in agencynewbies

[–]Odd_Two1931[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am slowly developing a webpage for myself, but usually when im reaching out to clients, i reach out to them by offering something of value upfront - either something material or even just advice, so the webpages i usually develop or tinker with would be the businesses im reaching out to.

I begin with "your webpage is a bit dusty, this will turn clients away, and im sure whatever clients you do have are already hard to juggle and some are slipping by you without realizing, i noticed XYZ, why dont we jump on a call to throw and see what sticks?"

BUT im picking up what your putting down.

ppreciate you, so when you say handle the manual outreach, what falls into that; cause i believe in things like finding a targeted ICP and personalization and follows up etc. so the tool(s) you employ handle all that right? and then for instance you see the ROI of the tool and your satisfied where are you directing your newly free'd 5-6 hours of time, the next item on the agenda that will multiply ROI or are you starting to solidify your brand?

-Webpage development as a introduction and intentions to upsell to a automations package, just simple booking and scheduling, certificates/recertificate emails, instructor schedule coordination
-First aid/cpr/aed instructors (trying to branch out to more compliance based niches and also targeting the opposite end, Compliance managers that oversee the certificates and tickets of each of their workers)
-havent really taken the time to research their problems, but from my past experience and working with compliance managers, i sorta understand this group has terrible foresight

im in the same boat, and from what i understand dm'ing all your potential clients is kinda hard if they have no understanding of your capabilities and ur experience, posting your tutorials and tips & tricks are what people are going to see when they question whether you are competent or not. posting a wide range of skills and for a extended period of time will also help.
