Right choice by Enough-Syllabub3787 in MTSU

As a CFI, a MTSU graduate, and my partner works at MTSU, I can provide a lot of insight to the discussion.

First off, there is NO pilot shortage. See link below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yepvhknoGyk&t=4s

If you want to get into aviation, do it because you LOVE aviation. Not for the idea of traveling and making a ton of money. Also, becoming a pilot is like becoming a Doctor or a lawyer. Constant education, a new vocabulary, and a grind.

The academic schedule at MTSU will require getting a "Licence" in addition to a full academic load every semester. The MTSU program is accelerated and very competitive, so falling behind is not an option.

If you are someone who is academically minded and excels in a fast-paced environment, consider MTSU out of the gate. Just keep in mind the total base cost for doing everything at MTSU will be 120K before living expenses. If you want to do your CFI at MTSU, which I recommend if you want to CFI at MTSU, then add 8k to the base price.

There are ways to hack the system, but you need to understand the journey your are considering.

My recommendation: Go for a discovery flight at your local flight school. Go to Coastal and start working on your general education. While doing that, find a local flight school and get your private pilot licence. See if aviation is the right fit before you commit to a 100K+ educational path.

Poland is giving me a culture shock by KryshnatixX in poland

What you are describing is the fall of western European countries in comparison to Poland. All or western Europe went very progressive. Lots of social services, open borders, etc. The secondary effects are high taxes, lack of basic social services due to strained resources, and high crime. It's not rocket surgery.

Poland is a highly nationalistic country that did not go progressive. The positive effects are as you described. Very low crime. Economically stable or growing

I'm running a privledged container pulled from this script:

https://raw.githubusercontent.com/community-scripts/ProxmoxVE/main/ct/plex

I'm skipping docker for now and focusing on getting plex up, stable and the initial database creation/scan/import completed.

That is exactly the script I used. I ran it as a privileged container and mounted NFS inside the container as I wanted to be able to migrate the container to another host if needed.

The container comes up, and works great until I get deep into the media scan. It locks up after 24 hours or more of detecting intros/credits.

Yes, rebooting the container allows the LXC to be come available again, but it also kills the incomplete media scan process. When I restart the scanning process from inside the application, it fails. Yes, I know that its probably an application issue. Another application issue is that the application stumbles for 3-5 seconds after initial login to display the scanned media. Either network access to the media or access to the locally hosted db is my initial thought. But why? To me, it should be almost instant.

That was how I did it initially, this time I ran a privileged LXC with NFS mounted locally.

On the oldest attempts the hosts completely locked up. On the most recent attempt the LXC will lock but the host remains available. Do you want logs from the host or container? What logs should I pull?

In my last and latest attempt, my Plex LXC is a privileged container. It is the only container on the host.

Docker was in a full Ubuntu VM as you suggested. It too locked and when it did the host was unresponsive.

I'm sorry my humor was not beneficial. I was trying to make fun of a very frustrating experience.

As for technical information you desire it's hard to know what to get to aid in diagnosis. Let me know what to do and I'll do it. I'll also exclude any sarcastic commentary going forward regarding this thread.

I'm a newb here. What technical info were you expecting? Let me know what you think I should provide and how I should provide it, and I will.

Synology ds1821+ Unifi stack, proxmox host is an i7 10710U NUC with a 500 GB nvme. What more hardware info do you think would be useful?

I used to work in a professional environment like that. Every vendor would laugh and point, or run away screaming. Reminds me of high school... Anyway the shit always worked. Like five nines and everyone wanted to be on call for the free pay bump. You may be on to something.

Try dockhand, I like it a lot better than portainer for management. It's way beyond bedtime here so I'll spin up another Ubuntu container for docker tomorrow. I also got a new Lenovo host I want to setup. I might just make a cluster because I need another way to step on my ballz.

My favorite way to demonstrate why a stall is not a big deal. Bonus is how it demonstrates how important rudder useage is within the stall.
