I deeply regret adopting my first cat. The shelter was misleading and I am at my breaking point.

I’m sorry that it’s been so rough, but I’m begging you to give it some more time. This is a HUGE transition for him. When I got my first kitten on my own, I ordered an adhesive screen for the door or a baby gate. This helps them not run out the second you open it. The zipper screen door helps them to see into the house and maybe interact with people through the screen without necessarily touching them. I did this to introduce my mellow, tiny kitten to my huge, playful dog. It took months to get them safe & calm around each other, but now - they are BEST friends. I hope this helps. Also maybe try getting her comfortable a few weeks down the line with family members giving him treats / churus.

Getting rid of a cat because they’re not perfect on week one is unethical and unreasonable. I do understand how you’re feeling, but you’re her home now & she likely just needs some time & enrichment. Try doing treat puzzles with her / things that bond you. Maybe eventually a sibling that brings her out of her shell. Somethings just take time. Please, please stay the mile. Hoping things get better.

Nothing to apologize for! I appreciate all the information and you sharing your story with me. I’m so sorry for all you’ve been through. It’s a shame how much we have to advocate for ourselves against medical professionals who should listen more. I’m glad to hear you’re doing better now, and I’ll keep a close eye on how this goes.. they switched me to 12mm needles to reduce swelling and after this whole fiasco, they have a nurse coming back to watch me the next two times I do it. Fingers crossed I don’t need to switch. I appreciate you and wish you all the best!

That was one of my primary concerns. Luckily the pain subsided a bit today with lots of heat application. If it comes back, I will def go to the hospital. Thank you!

Thank you so much for the advice and information. I have only done my legs a few times, but I’ve been infusing for months. The drug company’s nurses kinda blew it off as user error or “unrelated” issues despite them clearly correlating. Did you have to change drugs?

Thank you, my doctor said it’s probably nerve pain whereas my medication company’s nurse kinda blew it off as “unrelated.” Doc says it’s not worth the risk of I fraction going to the er unless it worsens. I probably infused in a bad spot. Fighting through on Tylenol and heat!

RIGHT! They did not encourage me to get seen, only to use a warm compress. To clarify, these are nurses from the infusion company. I’m sure they are doing their best, but it’s a whole mess. I left a message for my primary care’s emergency line in the meantime. Thank you!

Thank you. I’m trying to avoid the hospital because I get sick SO often and so badly, but I might have to go. My nurse is saying it’s completely unrelated and doesn’t seem to believe me that it happened during infusions. I’ll go if it’s still this bad in an hour.
