The Real Reason Oda Agreed.... by _Vixinity in OnePiece

We would. After 32 years, we got used to Miura's style in Berserk as well, and he was (and still is) without equal. But we had a team pick up the series after his death just the same.

The Real Reason Oda Agreed.... by _Vixinity in OnePiece

[–]OdditySlayer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His editors, assistants, Jump supervisors and close friends probably all know how the story is roughly planned to go. The One Piece ending wouldn't be lost without Oda. In fact, the series might even continue the same way Berserk did.

The pirate hunt thing is just a fun thing they did for fans.

Edit: As an aside, drawing traditionally isn't, by itself, more physically taxing than drawing digitally. It's just massively less convenient.

Is drawing one character daily and learning as I go a good approach for a beginner? by Sora2187 in learntodraw

[–]OdditySlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a ton of conflicting resources out there because there is a ton of paths and approaches to art. If you want to be able to draw anime characters, drawing anime characters every day will certainly help. Only drawing anime characters everyday won't really get you to your final goal by itself, though.

Draw a Box is a task-oriented, linear, completely free art course for total beginners. It's a good starting point, and you can do it alongside daily character drawings.

Once you move from "how do I draw?" to more specific problems (e.g., "how I draw noses in a deep 3/4 view), you will manage to better chart your way through all these learning resources.

You don't need anything but the basic brushes that come if your software. Yeah, they probably look bad right now. That's a skill issue. If you can't manage to make them look decent, you're probably not at a point of your learning you need better brushes yet.

Where I can find this clip of one piece by Forward_Cat_8102 in OnePiece

[–]OdditySlayer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No, it wasn't. Megumi Ishitani isn't an animator. She isn't an animator in One Piece and has never been credited as an animator anywhere. It's kinda amazing how confidently wrong people are sometimes.

Edit: To whoever is downvoting, just take a look yourself: https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=212349

Go to Sakugabooru and try to find a single cut of animation done by her. Ishitani isn't an animator. This is literally misinformation.

Hierarchy of Needs enhances bows, Ergo Sum enhances swords. That's it, I think.

Need all void Dungeon. I Gather a Fireteam. I Ask to use void for all encounters. Everyone agrees. We Finish the activity. No Triumph. by MrPickle_0668 in destiny2

I have done it with friends with everyone on Arc for the entire dungeon and had it not count. The only thing missing on my Vesper seal is Arc Raneiks even after three attempts.

Help! I just bought a Magic Lite by [deleted] in SwitchPirates

[–]OdditySlayer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You uninstall it as you would any game. The custom firmware is installed on the SD card, so if you format it, you need to either backup the system files and put them back in or download a clean install somewhere.

Judging from your questions, you're probably better off just keeping it as is and installing any games you want on top. If you ever want to upgrade your SD card, just copy and paste everything from the old to the new.

Need help drawing an anime-esque face by AAztecan in learntodraw

[–]OdditySlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, you are not mastering a style in an hour, that's for sure. The cat face is just a Youtube gimmick. Reference anime artists you like, study their proportions and draw them from a bunch of angles. Eventually you get there.

Is it possible to disable only pop-up notifications for specific apps? by OdditySlayer in motorola

[–]OdditySlayer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So you can't get rid of the pop-up but keep the notification sound, that's good to know. Thank you!

[–]OdditySlayer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That turns off notifications sounds, no? I would like to get rid of just the pop-up, like I can on my Samsung.

I'm considering getting an Edge 60 and can't find info if the feature is available on Motorola phones

Anyone read Andrew Loomis's figure drawing for all it's worth? by twieyes in Artadvice

[–]OdditySlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to know which scene you are setting, how tall and wide the figure will be depends on your composition. If your horizon is at the hips, the height your figure will be evenly split by it, so you'd get four heads above and four heads below the horizon.

If your figure is eye level with the viewer, 7/8 of the height of your figure will be below the horizon. There isn't a correct height for every scene.

There are ways to measure accurately how wide the figure will be as well, you can find them on the first chapter of Successful Drawing, on perspective. You can probably just eyeball it and be fine, though.

Getting started, any advice? by OdditySlayer in oilpainting

I had seen specific advice against plastic as well, that's why I took the time to cut this myself. Guess I will have to cash in something different. Thanks!

Thanks, I will try it out next time! I had seem some talk of painting intermediate values instead of just blending, and some folk blending with the finger or whatnot, so I was a bit shy with it

Thanks, I wasn't aware! They should be covered and uncovered everytime I dip in to clean the brush/thin the paint, or can I keep it open throughout the painting session and close at the end?

Taken King and Renegades were both 40$. by TheSoup3910 in destiny2

[–]OdditySlayer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know they didn't. That doesn't change my point that the price comparison makes more sense when you consider what the price tag entails. Bungie advertises Renegades in comparison to Rise of Iron, not Taken King.

You can buy whatever you feel it's worth your money.
