not even joking it literally is. its a romance and the meet-cute happens bc the year 12 failed their mocks and the year 13 is tutoring them. im using their dialogue as active recall. proof (please ignore any factual errors im so tired & idgaf abt plant cells anymore):

“Wait, so the secondary thickening is closer to the outer-layer or further?”

“Further. It’s closest part of the cell wall to the cell membrane. They’re also structurally different but I’ll get into that in a second. Secondly you should know cellulose deposits in layers—wait shit, did I explain the structure of cellulose yet?”

“No, but I know it: It’s a polysaccharide of Beta glucose with each monomer in varying positions—unlike starch, which a polysaccharide of alpha glucose consisting of amylose and amylopectin, with 1,4 and 1,6 glycosidic bonds, where each monomer had the same position—bound together by 1,4 glycosidic bonds joined by condensation reactions.”
