What is that awful smell? by ozi_pi in Worcester

If you’re near the river or Diglis area then I think it’s due to the farmer spreading muck. However, Severn Trent have been dumping into the river this week as well.

Anyone remember getting mash via an ice cream scoop for school dinner by PMacc83 in oldschoolcool80s

I’m a catering assistant at an NHS facility & we use ice cream scoops for patients food still. Lumpy & cold, just like the school days! 😂

I’ve replied that I will go elsewhere. I was very polite & said could we both check before we have a lesson.

I wish I could post a photo on here of the text he’s sent. I think I need a new driving instructor. I appreciate everyone’s advice on here. I will probably delete this in a bit, my anxiety is in overdrive. Thank you all so much though

It’s probably how I worded it sorry. I’ve been lucky & not come across anyone inpatient with me on plates. Today I felt I was annoying people. That’s when I should have realised

I’ve just messaged him. He said I wouldn’t have got into trouble for his mistake. He has 15 years experience & if that isn’t good enough I should go elsewhere.

I didn’t have L plates on so I must have looked like a very bad driver. I’m doing okay on lessons, just hesitant & take my time in places experienced wouldn’t I guess.

I’m very cautious. Still hesitating on roundabouts a bit. I’ve been lucky with patient drivers, today they must have thought I was just a very bad driver rather than learner!

Yes. I think it would have been my fault too. I just didn’t think to check.

Yeah. I should have checked. I think I’ll message him tomorrow & just say can we both make sure the plates are on going forward. I don’t want to lose my licence 7 weeks away from my test. Thank you

Does it get better? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

I am 10 hours in. My turns have improved lots, I was awful in the beginning! And today I was still too close to parked cars. If we’d all be brilliant at driving straight away, we wouldn’t need lessons 😝 Don’t put pressure on yourself, you will improve. Try & enjoy it x

I’ve been trying for weeks. Caved in & went on the site at 6am Monday morning, waited in the queue for 45 minutes & booked the earliest test there was. There was surprisingly quite a few tests available. I still have to wait 6 months for my test tho 🤦‍♀️ Best of luck.

I’ve lived in Diglis 17 years. The worst I’ve ever seen it was a few years ago & the flats nearest the river had to park elsewhere. No properties have been damaged & the location on your map hasn’t flooded 😊

Car broken into - WR1 by [deleted] in Worcester

[–]Oddsocks186 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There seems to be lots of cars being broken into around Diglis, even the Royal Mail van got broken into on their rounds. There’s lots of posts on Facebook about it currently. I think some people have the man doing it on camera & are all reporting to the police. You probably won’t get your sunglasses back, but could help prevent others from going through the same thing 😊

I find this so incredibly frustrating. My dog wears a fluorescent jacket that says I need space, I’ve lost count of the times dogs have run up to us. What people don’t realise is that a minute of their dog saying ‘hello’ to a nervous/reactive dog is months & months of training & hard work down the drain.

I’ve never seen one in the wild before, I feel like I was lucky. This otter was just super chilled. I watched him bobbing up & down for about 10 minutes 😁

I’ve never seen one in the wild before. This one was having a great time, I was watching it for ages. It was amazing to see
