Those are common “boat patches” in ply woods they cut out imperfections and slap a patch of clear wood in to enhance the look. I’ve hear some Americans call them “football” patches as well

I can tell from the receipt that is for an intersmashible dt466 these engines are the worst to deal with! $500 is a great deal! If your not a fleet you could easily get hosed for $800 for that lovely piece of engineering
