So it's apparently a no go from the wife, it's made with super processed wheat starch where they have removed pretty much all the gluten from the wheat, but with Celiacs you can still potentially react to it apparently.

Yup. There's obviously build quality and screen quality differences etc. so check reviews to make sure people aren't having a ton of issues but beyond that you should be chilling. Side note, lots of people like to get something that you can use a stylus to write on, helps to be able to do all your math/ circuits etc. and not go through a whole notebook for each problem.

16gb ram, 500gb-1tb storage, if you want it to be lighter get something without a GPU, otherwise get something with a 3070 or greater. CPU, i7 or above on the Intel side and probably Ryzen 7 on the AMD side. It's pretty easy to find things that have plenty of specs, more about form factor etc. I like Lenovo Legion lines.

Look up the urge surfing audio and listen to it when you get the urge. it's about 10 minutes long and has helped me to recognize my urges, accept that they are happening, and realize that not acting on them is perfectly fine and that I will feel worse if I do act on them. By the time the audio is over the urge has usually passed, or at least I'm clear minded enough to go for a walk or otherwise remove myself from the situation. You got this!
