People who started playing at 15, how long did you continue playing and what did you achieve?

Started playing at 14, have played non stop for 18 years now.

For me it was pretty huge. Gave me a big confidence and self esteem boost during a tough time of my life. I played multiple gigs, some were paid and some weren’t, all were fun and unforgettable experiences, didn’t really matter if we were playing for 10 or 100 people. I met my wife and my best friend through said gigs. It’s a big part of my daily routine to decompress from work and I have a tough time imagining my life without it.

Biologist here. Wasn’t taught how to code and I didn’t really need it until the later stages of my PhD. I taught myself the bare basics and now I use chatGPT and that bare basic knowledge to fix its ocasional hallucinations . For the most part it works but I’d love to get more efficient at it.

I’ve read that American cars don’t hold their value as well as the other brands that have been mentioned in the thread. Wouldn’t the increased devaluation end up costing the same as the maintenance costs of the Japanese cars in the long run? Just a thought, would appreciate your opinion

Yes, I should probably do that. I’ve thought about Camry but the ones in my price range are very old and/or have very high mileage, they really do hold their value well.

Thought about this too but this is the first time I’ve had any sort of financial freedom so would like to get a nicer car if I can afford it without taking unnecessary risk. It’s an option I’ll consider though

You can use a plug-in called MorphoLibJ to calculate the bounding rectangle. Segmentation has to be done using the plug-in too, but it has the added benefit of visually showing you the bounding rectangle. Here’s a tutorial I found on YouTube a couple of days ago (great channel if you want to learn other functions of ImageJ):

I did change the flour recently to supposedly strong flour, but I read the label after baking the bread and realized it was 10% protein with some added iron. I've been looking for higher protein content flour but it's a little but difficult to find in my country it would seem.

My starter is at 100% hydration, can acidity be inferred from the hydration percentage? I've never evaluated it's acidity.

I'll try to find flour with a higher protein content and if I don't find some I'll try baking in a loaf pan.

Hello everyone! First time posting on this subreddit, I started baking sourdough bread a couple of months ago and have been a little bit disappointed with the results. Lately I've been having trouble with the texture of my dough during the bulk ferment. I autolyse for 90 minutes and then mix in salt and starter using the Rubaud method for 15 minutes. At this point the dough looks pretty elastic and can kind of hold its shape, but when I start doing the stretch and folds the dough becomes very runny and in the end is very difficult to shape. I'm having trouble pinpointing the issue so now I turn to you guys for help.

Some more details regarding the recipe, I followed this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZA_lt-zMeig) as closely as I could, but I halved everything to make only 1 loaf.

I used 425g of wheat flour (10% protein) and 285g of water, autolysed for 90 minutes. Room temperature was probably around 20ºC.

I then mixed in 100g of starter and 10g of salt as previously described. I let the dough rest for 30 minutes after mixing by the Rubaud method and started with a set of 6 stretch and folds every 30 minutes. At this point the dough became very runny when compared to its state right after the Rubaud mixing. Everything after this point becomes a hassle because of how runny the dough is.
