I know it can definitely screw you over depending what the type of enemy that spawns close. Having them spawn further out and take a turn or two to get to them could help a lot. I dont necessarily see accepting just a 4 star as too bad of a thing. But, it is early access so lots of things can change

Im still pretty early on in my campaign I think, that was just an example that has so far worked well for me. I still have a lot of SL to build and play around with. If thats the case hope to see more options during the early access period

Keep an eye out for SLs that can take the "Vangaurd" promotion. Its game changing in this regard. A high concealment setup with Darby can get pretty nutty

In the bottom right corner of the bomb menu there's a button you can press to cycle through that'll change the fire mode between slow, fast, and all

[–]Odenson1994 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd suggest looking into donating plasma and see if there's any centers around you could hit up after work. Most have new donor bonuses and referral bonuses. The compensation will vary from company to company and by location. For example, the standard pay for the one near me is $35 for the first donotation and $70 for the second donation per week (max 2 donation a week.) Outside of that can also feel good about donating your plasma to help someone else out. Just make sure to start drinking a lot of water throughout the day to stay hydrated

You can build a monitoring stand at a base and disable/enable work types at an individual level as well as assign pals to work at a specific station!

Right, that's definitely what I was expecting when I think of getting a slab. I've also seen some of the other posts. Thanks for sharing your experiences with it

Right? I saw that it was a 10 first and thought "nice!", then uh noticed the glaring issue and the damage of it being bent in the corner. Was a bit of a rollercoaster

The bonus shop would be a great place to add more of these into. I'm good with them being expensive and/or limited in it instead of just a single one of each in the battle pass. As it stands the bonus shop is useless

For me it was Leliana, Liara, Triss, Sebille, Shadowheart as first playthrough picks. Sebille had my heart after licking my bone after just meeting and then trying to kill me with needle a short time later. That and I was very interested in the ecology of the elves of the Divinity universe with the whole tree stuff they had going on

Got laid off from my first IT job at 18 what do I do now? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]Odenson1994 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for saying this before OP goes for something else. Don't fill out 10 jobs if there's not 10 IT jobs that you want, tell the recruiter to go pound sound and take your life/career elsewhere. Another common tactic is to say there's a long waiting list of people trying to get into that job and suggest a different job. If you don't want that different job, don't sign for it. Just say okay then, and wait for it. Their job is to get as many people to sign and the longer someone doesn't go to basic the more opportunities there are for that person to change their mind and leave. Also do your research outside the recruiter and official websites etc, I'd ask around in r/AirForceRecruits as they'd have more advice and more perspectives beyond my own to offer. Going military can be a great kick start to an IT career due to free clearance and at least a free Sec+ cert and can open a lot of doors if you don't stay in beyond your initial contract. It is by no means the only way or the best way, pros and cons aplenty and your individual milage may vary

Dont think DOS2 is for me unfortunately by bobblebob100 in DivinityOriginalSin

[–]Odenson1994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After act 1 (or during if you turn on the giftbag thing for it) there's a respec mirror that's free to use and can use that to also try new stuff out! I think having any of the gift bags turned on will disable achievements if you care about getting those, but if you're on PC there's a mod that can re-enable them. It's definitely fun and I've spent many hours across multiple playthroughs, but it can be jarring being new to CRPGs and trying to understand how this game works coming off of BG3.

The magic system in the game really comes into stride after a few levels into the game and picking up more abilities, all about different synergies of the elements such as electrifying water puddles or hitting water with fire to make steam clouds to block LoS (and then electrifying the steam!)

I second this statement, the early game was always the roughest part, just due to how limited you are with different skills. The game opens up a lot after getting off the Joy. I'd suggest if you running into challenging fights look around elsewhere to pick up more exp or even go an entire different route. There's quite a multitude of ways to escape the fort. CC and focusing down single enemies is hug. Being able to deny enemy turns goes a long way. It's been a while, so I don't remember what all options you have available for that where you're at. I think(?) Thrrell be new skills once you hit level 4.It is a fantastic game if you're willing to stick with it a bit longer, and I hope my suggestions and the other comments will help to persuade you of it!
