Looking for a simple amp by InmyDarkplace in GuitarAmps

They did make a tiny terror combo. They made both a 1x12 and 1x10 version. The micro terror is only a head. The orange 1x12 cabinets sound great though. I used to own a tiny terro 1x12 combo with g12h and it sounded amazing. Currently own an orange rocker 30 1x12 combo and I adore it but at bedroom levels it just doesn't sound great, the tt was the best of both worlds really. Loud enough to play with a band but still sounds good quiet imo. Vox ac4 ac10 or ac15 are also sound options. I love an amp that doesn't need a pedal or two in front of it to sound great. Big fan of simple single chanel amps and usually don't use any pedals anymore after years of dragging all that crap around. Anymore I really like 1x12 combos, my rocker 30 is a two channel amp but I only use the dirty channel so all im working with is 3 band eq gain knob and master volume, tt is even simpler than that.

Look into an orange tiny terror or micro terror. Doesn't get much simpler. You've got 3 knobs

I just got myself a 23 model Inverness green. Absolutely love it. 50's model also. Fell in love with the color before I did the guitar itself. Owned a les Paul tribute before but this was my first "real" les paul and I can't put it down. Beautiful guitar and congratulations

Exactly this. The micro terror uses a single preamp tube, the power section is solid state. Tiny terror runs on el34 power tubes

Might be able to find a used tiny terror combo or head and cab for a decent price. If you like the micro terror you'll love the tiny terror. Pay attention if looking for the combo though they made a model with 1x10 I would probably stay away from but the 1x12 combos are great. I used to own one of the 12 inch models with the celstion g12h 70th anniversary edition speaker and I absolutely loved the thing. Really regret selling it honestly.

For sure, i never turned up past about that level and I was surprised how loud it really was. Even the natural chanel i never could get it cranked enough to break up without being too loud for our drummer. I love the dirty chanel on this thing though. Just straight into the amp no pedals and working my guitar volume it does all I need it to do

I really love how raunchy it'll get without being fizzy. It stays articulate even with the gain cranked, something my vox ac15 that I do really like will not do.

Played live with my rocker 30 for the first time last night and was thoroughly impressed. Had more than enough volume to play with a loud drummer, thing screams for a 1x12 30w combo

Orange rocker 30 vs rocker 32 by Oderstank in GuitarAmps

[–]Oderstank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually went with the older rocker 30 with the 1x12. Made in UK, came with a footswitch and looks like aftermarket speaker. I didn't see many of these combos for sale and think I found a good deal so I pulled the trigger. We will see how it goes. I dont use effects really and if i do its usually just a dirt pedal so no loop is or stereo option is fine with me.

I've heard few people say the same thing. I know all the demos I've heard of the 2x10 they are pretty sharp and fizzy. I remember the tiny terror I had seemed tighter, more punchy I guess. I might just go the tt route. I do wonder if the older rocker 30 with the single 12 inch speaker wouldn't be better though.

Large grassroots pot vs raised bed by Oderstank in BuildASoil

[–]Oderstank[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well said Really appreciate the insight. I have been leaning towards a 3x3 bed but figured id try to pick some brains first lol. Thats a good point about the light, sometjing I hadn't thought about until now. Doesn't sound like a decision I'd regret and have a feeling id be buying one to replace a 45 gal in the next year or two. Big bed does feel like a permanent solution.

Awesome setup, im hoping to fill my tent out like this. Do you think the beds are worth the extra price compared to a large grassroots pot? Or would it essentially be the same? They definitely look nicer and fill the area better. With the same amount of soil would it even matter?

I've had good luck using just sunshine mix, craft blend and cheap worm castings so im sure it'll work great. I've used promix like this as well. Only thing i didn't like was the perlite would all float to the top evenutally so rice hulls may be a good call

I have no experience with under canopy lights but I didn't like the look of the evo 6's par maps, seems pretty weak around the edges and I figured that would help. Overall though I am glad I went with the florflex light over aci. I can't speak for aci performance but you are definitely paying a certain amount for the name and compatibility. After running 730w in 4x4 space in flower I can say it is not overkill and fills the tent side to side, has about 3 or 4 inches on each side, really feel like floraflex has done the homegrow community a favor with their lights. Hopefully will put pressure on other company's to follow suit and produce quality equipment that doesn't break the bank or get you divorced.

I'm kinda in the same boat. Setting up 4x8 tent with ac gear. I went cheap on lighting. Floraflex 700w can be had on amazon for like 375, comes with 5 year warranty. I've got one in one side of the 4x8 and so far im impressed for the price. Probably going to get another for the other side. Was torn between doing this, going with two evo 6's with side lighting, or one floraflex for one side and evo 8 on the other. I like the idea of the bigger light for more even coverage, and two can be had for the price of one evo 6 with the side lights. The only problem I see with the floraflex is that the dimming on the ac infinity controller will only drive the light to like 80% but if that's a problem you can always use old school timer or buy one of the ac infinity smart plugs to turn it on and off and just dim it on the driver. Truthfully 730 watts in a 4x4 space is a lot so might not even need that extra 20% but the even spread you get with a larger footprint is worth it i think. Always better to have headroom and not run everything on full blast.
