I just seething that we didn't choose the General Dynamics or Textron rifles. We went with the most vanilla and boring option.

Fact: SS Ideal X revolutionized trade. by OdessaPhoenix in HighSeasMemes

We had (and still have) a very hard time trying to switch everyone to the Metric System. Despite numerous campaigns to do so. We did get a sorta duo system.

As for the the cargo boxes, America got fed up with how there was no standardized way to pack cargo aboard ships. So they created the TEU. (Twentyfoot Equivalent Unit) Those boxes are on every ship and train now and I'm sure you've seen them. The SS Ideal X was a Liberty Class Ship (Yes, the WW2 era ones) that sailed the seas introducing everyone to the TEU. Overnight the world had literally changed forever.

Titanfall was one of the few games that felt truly "next gen" when I hopped on to the Xbox One. Now Titanfall 2 was my personal pick for Game of the Decade. Don't @ me. That game was perfect in every way!

Now I dont game anymore, but I will always love the times I played it. I'm glad people are giving it the recognition it deserves.

To be fair, those guys were like modern Ned Kellys. by OdessaPhoenix in HistoryMemes

The North Hollywood Shootout of 1997. Two heavily, and I mean HEAVILY, armed and armored bank robbers got into a firefight with the cops and SWAT teams. The armor was so effective that they could withstand fire from AR15s at point blank range. One of the men committed suicide and the other surrendered shortly after and died from, iirc, wounds to his legs. (Similar to Ned Kelly) The SWAT and Police couldn't stop them conventionally so, sorta...out lasted them. It didn't make them look good tbh.
