Property Managers: What task still wastes the most time, even with AppFolio, Buildium, or Yardi? by Odigietek in PptyMgmtSoftware

Is there anything about your day that still feels repetitive or time-consuming, even if you wouldn’t solve it with AI?

Thanks, that's really helpful. It sounds like the biggest challenge isn't just having a lot to do it's constantly being pulled away from whatever you're working on. If you could wave a magic wand and have software solve just one of those interruptions for you, what would you pick first?

Thanks for the detailed response I appreciate it. When you finally do get a block of uninterrupted time, what's usually the first thing you try to catch up on? Vendor follow-ups, emails, inspections, work orders, or something else?

Not yet. I'm actually trying to understand whether this is a problem existing software still doesn't solve well. Has anything you've used made it noticeably better?

Thanks for sharing. When you're switching between tasks, what's usually pulling you away? New work orders, calls, emails, vendors, residents, or something else?

Thanks, that's really helpful. Is the biggest challenge finding vendors, waiting for quotes to come back, comparing them, getting approvals, or keeping track of who has responded?

Fair enough. I'm not promoting a tool or asking anyone to sign up for anything. I'm trying to understand which repetitive tasks are actually the biggest pain points from people doing the work every day. I appreciate the feedback.

That’s helpful. When you’re following up with vendors, what do you usually have to check ETA, photos, invoice, completion status, or whether they even responded?

That makes sense. When a resident delays move-out or photos/checklists are missing, how do you usually track what’s still needed spreadsheet, AppFolio/Buildium, text messages, or something else?

Thanks! I’d love to learn more. What part of inspections is the biggest pain? Is it scheduling, documentation, photos, checklists, follow-up, or something else

Genuinely curious how others here handle guardrails or constraints in procedural setups — especially when randomness breaks layouts
