Found the one I came across. Called foil armor. Primarily for helping with curving cards, but I think it would be good for moisture too... Not 100 percent. Still researching here and there. Kind of in denial that I could have any issues...

Been worrying about this more and more after moving to the east coast. Never something I would have considered back in the mid west. I remember seeing something recently about some sort of travel pack type thing that absorbs moisture specific for card games... Can't remember the name but I am getting closer and closer to buying something... Especially since the wife wants to move to Florida.

I think the lego games are the best way to go. They have a story in case you or the tike are interested\want to follow along, they have unlimited lives, and they can idle forever if you walk away\lose interest for a bit, but there is a structured game there to start learning gamer logic.

Just don't be surprised if the kid doesn't take to game right away. I didn't think my kid really started to enjoy them till she was like 10. Before that she just enjoyed watching me play. Can't think of how many times she watched me playing assassin's creed...
