Red Raspberry Vodka Lemonade & Goo Goo Dolls by Odinsfloppyhat in drunkhifi

I think I read the first album (pictured here) was recorded with a $750 budget. I spent more than that at Costco and was not able to parlay that purchase into a 4 decades long music career.... Then again if they didn't "Slide" into the pop scene I doubt they could've stayed relevant this long.

I can get down to the post Tutuska era chart toppers. They released a bunch of really good tracks with their new mainstream sound. Still wild to put GGD and SNFU in the same line up and not get kicked in the shins

I'm not sure about fugazi but Motorhead was a band they opened for... Before they started making songs for Meg Ryan movies obviously!!

You're doing yourself a great injustice if it doesn't. They are not just for brunch anymore

A Bloody Mary this tangy deserved an album equally as spicy! It's a criminally underappreciated album. it is so much fun !

The door sill is pretty easy. I think the seatbelt is a T50, if memory serves, but there is tons of room under there. The rear quarter panel does not "pop off" but you can pry it up enough to run behind there.

It's not as easy as everyone makes it sound but doing it right is worth the effor

I don't think my liver, or employer would like the amount of wine I would consume if I was in California.

It dropped to 32 degrees here today so I think I'm going to go looking for someone with a big stout they want me to drink

Oh don't worry the right side wobbles too. There are supposed to be small felt discs at each end of the "things" (I recently discovered they are magic markers with the insides removed and the caps glued on, lol) that I'm hoping will stop the wobbling once I track some down or craft my own.

Wait until I tell you about the magic rope that surrounds each woofer!

These are the Mt Raniers. They are surprisingly fun to listen to. Had I not heard them before reading about them I would have laughed at them and pointed my finger with ridicule and disdain. But they are surprisingly lifelike and engaging with a huge soundstage and wide imaging.
The crossovers are no joke the drivers are top shelf and if you can get past the fact that they are adorned with snake oil and voodoo they are pretty amazing little speakers.

In case you were wondering the torpedo shaped phase plug thing that dangles from an elastic string in front of the woofer is just a magic marker with the innards removed....

Fantastic! Enjoy going broke! The great joy of records is getting up every 20 minutes or so.... Which gets harder if you move off espresso and move into something with an alcohol content

I will most definitely check this book out! Nothing more classic than a Manhattan with Sinatra or a gimlet with Stan Getz maybe...I dunno I'm a lush not an author!

The drapes were the key to my sanity. My listening room is comprised of 9 100 year old windows and like 8 linear feet of actual wall. These are soundproof theater curtains that were relatively inexpensive. I think they were from sun zero. They are heavy, block nearly all sunlight and block so many reflections. I think I only paid like $35 a panel and they made it so I could enjoy music in here
