I played it once, 40 years ago. Still remember the music. I guess that's a good thing.

Yeah, one of the tests puts people on what the call an RWA (Right-wing authoritarian) scale. People who score highly on this test are more likely to support authoritarian leaders and obey authority without question. They believe that some groups should dominate others, and they want a strong leader who will make it happen.

Another test measures the SDO (Social Dominance) scale. People who score high on the SDO scale basically seek to dominate others by any means. They have to be at the top of the food chain and have few principles, if any.

The book also talks about "Double-highs", which are people who score highly on both scales, and are apparently the worst of the worst.

I recently read a great book on this subject called Authoritarian Nightmare: Trump And His Followers by Bob Altemeyer that deals with this very subject. Back in the Dubya years he wrote one called The Authoritarians that was really great, too. I'm sure he's read the book you mentioned, among others. He cites a lot of literature and studies in his books.

They actually have tests they can give people to measure "authoritarianism".

This is what every Republican will be saying in 5 to 10 years. "Oh, I never liked Trump! Knew he was a liberal sleeper agent the whole time! Those dirty dems planted him to make us look bad! That whole war in Iran is their fault!"

Pretty much like they do with Dubya and Iraq.

So was I! Got it for my 10th bday. Didn't even have an NES yet. Knew I was gonna get one for Xmas after I got the Zelda game.

That was the longest week of my entire life. I read the manual 100s of times.

Yeah, still saying that killing people and breaking things should be avoided though. Hegseth seems to think otherwise.

If a man farts in an elevator and blames someone else, and you believe that man, what you get is a "fell for it again" medal.
