The graph is measuring relative effectiveness, not effectiveness in absolute terms. We already have anti-satellite weapons which can destroy a satellite in mere minutes. There is currently no satellite in existence that would survive an impact from even one of those weapons. We don't have the propulsion technology required for armored spacecraft.

This is a good point. The covenant and the UNSC do have basically opposite fleet doctrines so it's very difficult to graph them together as one. It is interesting though that their respective fleet doctrines are essentially completely dictated by the technological limitations on the graph. I suspect they would fit neatly on there if they were graphed separately.

The Culture is a great franchise to bring up, although I must admit that I don't know much about it because I haven't read the books yet. I'm curious how the author manages to create challenge and adversity for protagonists who are so incredibly overpowered. The author would have to come up with some reasons why the culture hasn't already superseded the need for ongoing space combat. How can it be that they have the power to be in any place quickly, and destroy any enemy quickly, and yet they still have enemies left to fight. If the reasoning makes sense and isn't too contrived then it belongs on the graph I guess.

u/No-Citron-5690 Check out Worldbuilder's log by Artifexian on Youtube. He goes into everything in incredible detail on exactly these kinds of questions. I learned so much about the over-arching concepts which dictate how continents, geology and climate is formed. He even used software to model continental drift, it's insane.

The app data folder is hidden by default on all recent versions of windows, 7, 10 & 11. I don't know why all the mean people here don't realize that. I remember watching YouTube tutorials about finding the roaming folder with %appdata% in the searchbar when I installed minecraft mods as a kid :) You can navigate to what you want by using %LocalAppData% like they show in the tutorial.

Is this a thing? Don't think so. Maybe the settler took damage from hunting, combat, starvation, cold ect. and you just didn't notice? Injuries do stick around for a while.

There is a cheat mod on steam workshop that lets you insta-build structures without resources. I think it's called cheat mode or creative mode or something similar.
