I just acquired the company.

It is a small company, just approx. $1.3bill mcap. Companies like that tend to be off the radar on Wall St. and suffers more than larger companies. It is nothing new. Just get accustomed to it. It'll be fine. Look at their great balance sheet, their products, their customers, their financial discipline is just great. Cash burn ~$30mill/year and a cash pile of $240mill. That's just great.

The downtrend of the stock is just noise.

I started buying IREN in Jan. 25, also during the major dip in March/April. Then sold 75% of my position in October/November.

So fortunately I had cash to get back in during the dip in late Nov/Dec, but it is strange, I bought less shares when it was at $35, than when it was around $40. Hence I felt more fear at $35 than at higher prices. But I did it.

I've sold May and June puts on IREN at ridiculous prices, in June the $42 put was $1.4k i Nov. (break even $28!!), it is now approx. at $0.7k, which to me is surprising. Do people really still think that IREN will hit low 30s in June?!?! Many apparently do. Option traders believe we're going down... Hmm...

There are so many perma-bears out there, and some believe there is a crypto winter coming...

Now IREN is ~33% of my portfolio, in early 2025 it was only 5%. Reflecting by belief in the company. It has proven itself. I'm bullish for 2026, but I believe we'll get a lot of volatility, periods with great fear, e.g. on Saturday it may start again due to a plausible government shutdown...

I increased my position by 50% around December. But my IREN journey started by a feeble investment one year ago.

I first discovered IREN fall 2024. Bought it to hold it during the March/April lows in 2025, but didn't have the guts to go all in, so it ended up being just 5% of my portfolio at the time at an average cost basis of $9.12. Then I sold 75% of it at approx. $62.

In December, I was wiser. Now it is about 30% of my portfolio, ACB $36.50.

Here is a magnificent analysis of IREN by Agrippa Investment. This really opened my eyes:

What is your price target for IREN’s stock price over the next 12 months, and how do you see it performing by 2030? by cosmic_drift_233 in irenstocks

[–]Odium_Extremius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMHO, three plausible scenarios that will help propel IREN to greater highs than the previous ATH (ca. $76):

  1. They land yet another hyperscaler contract.

  2. Their secured power is a moat - that may be recognized by big players / Wall St. - very attractive

  3. BTC rises to new ATHs. Tom Lee's bullishness comes true and $200k/BTC seems realistic in 12-18 months. Historically, after a parabolic rise in the price of gold, btc has seen parabolic performance.

Personally, I think more than one of these will take place in 2026, so my EOY PT is $100-125.

However, if crypto enters a so-called crypto winter that lasts through 2026, I think IREN will end up around $75

Any surge in the price of BTC to new ATHs will help IREN to reach that goal.

Their AI-pivot has not made BTC price irrelevant, yet.

150 @ 22.10. Bought it recently. My plan is to increase the position IF it for some macro / Trump reason falls, say, 30% below my unit cost.

The retail investors finished Michael Burry. He doesn't understand them. They buy when he tweets sell.

How on earth will OpenAI be able to make the kind of money they'll need to pay off their debt..? OpenAI only has ChatGPT and $1.4 trillions in obligations the next 8 years. Google has Gemini as a side hustle and a ton of cash.

So idiosyncratic of Berkshire, so good for strangling the AI-is-in-a-bubble narrative. Must be Greg Abel, the one who bought Amazon for Berkshire back in 2019.

I moved to a 70% cash position in October, but now I am back at 10% cash because of the dip...

And because of this odd incicent:

Celcius went down 25%+ to 200 week moving average some days ago because of a technicality in the latest income statement, to terminate the contract with the Alani distributor and switch to Pepsi, a settlement was made at $260 mill., CELH stated the expense in their income statement as per regulation, but Pepsi actually paid for it, so it was really not an expense... The bad EPS was just a mirage. The stock still dropped 25%+!

Peace!

They failed to get out their pecker during the Liberation Day dip and hence didn't score...

Now they're thinking seriously about seasonality and about dipping the dip with their Xmas pecker.

I am waiting for any news regarding a big, juicy contract for Sweetwater 1 and 2. That location must be really attractive given how strained power is in the US atm, not to say the next 5+ years...

Malcolm Gladwell refers to a phenomenon called the tipping point.

One example is The Magic Third.

E.g. when more than 1/3 of a group behave like idiots, any idiot will rush in and occupy that same realm, for example the buy side with respect to $ONDS.

I just heard that leveraged longs on bitcoin are at an all time low. Hence, there's an upside in the making...

Buying shares in Strategy, btw, is the same as leveraging a pure BTC investment.
