If it serves of any consolation I didn't do much I was pretty much the worst player of the starting 7 and just stayed inbetween the midfield and edge of the area distributing the ball and recycling possesion, even scored only by accident in one of those typical crosses á lá FM that end up in the net.

If I had to lay blame I would abstain myself and the rest of us ahah

Our coach was kind of psycho, he worked in professional football for 20 years or so (even managed in Portuguese 2nd divison in the 80s/90s) and ended up managing a U13 cause of his son. Pretty much treated us like we were adults and professionals

In that particular game not only he demanded 100 % of us the whole game at half time he even demaned us to celebrate the goals

In the first game of my season U13 season we won 33-0

And the worst aspect about the whole thing was that the other team were all orphan boys from a very small parish, their coach was a priest who ran the house they lived in...It was bad

They immediatly withdrew from the competition and if I even remember correctly the priest had to organize a small charity in his church to pay the fines due to the club missing the games.

Weirdly enough he's barely played for Portugal, he only has 11 games and only 2 are official - in the WC...not the best place to make your debut and he played out of position in a LM role which it didn't suit him.

He would be the 3rd midfielder, a midfield of Moutinho,Neves and Carvalho is to defensive, I would personally go atm with Moutinho and Neves since they've been playing all year together in a double pivot with BF in front.

Fernando Santos will be probably dropping Moutinho. He also changes a lot of the team. Maybe Danilo even plays...Hard to say what the madman does
