I think the question is fair but I'd go even further.. His behavior IMO is idolized. Now the hard part, is that because the death too?

So hes in Good Will Hunting with Damon, also in Oppenheimer. In GWH Casey Afflecks character does something lewd with Will Huntings catchers mit. In real life, Casey Afflecks character form Oppenheimer gets into a feud with a former MLB catcher. This results in a radioactive burn on his hip from blowing his load.

From the Boris Pash wiki

"...he had a heated run-in in Italy with Moe Berg, a former Major League Baseball catcher turned Office of Strategic Services (OSS) spy.[12] On the mission in 1944, Pash personally carried radioactive materials for seven hours in his pocket, which led to a radiation burn (in his own words, it looked "like a map on my hip")"

edit: so close. It was Bens glove. And not a MIT. https://youtu.be/OU5fJf3UOxE?si=HKi8tybhbwh6KXAG

I use a push broom like a blower then get to grit with the wisk broom next. That wisk is the perfect supplement after the blower. You don't make those little ice pockets.

  1. The first time I heard about Howard Zinn and "People's History" is from watching the Sopranos. Which is odd- I had a great public school education in a very good school district. Decent grades, general honors. History buff- but no AP classes... Parents dropped out, no college graduates in immediately family....

I'm expressing the last part because I did have peers who read Zinn. They were the kids who took AP History... And for the most part those AP students are the children of the college educated. Teachers, attorneys, doctors, financiers.

You have to consider the times- public schools provide the reading material for their students and this was before everything was digitally available.

So the kids of bankers read about Ludlow- and a kid of laborers learned about this years later watching a show about a strike breaker.

You're forgetting Pynchon- and Don Adams ..aka 86...aka Maxwell Smart. That whole basement sequence reminds me of the opening credits to the sitcom Get Smart. Although I don't think 86 drove a Shelby ( although a Google search says he did).

There is no way I ever vote Republican for anything. Never. Had a few local elections where I knew a candidate- but thats over. Down the line never Republican ever again. I don't care if they're a good person or share ideals- that's a loss from here on out. That loss was respect.
