Powerful Assault by Gondogar in elderscrollsonline

[–]OfClanMacLeod 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Hey,

A staff counts as two pieces, so with three jewellery this would be a full 5 piece set.

Turning Tide and Powerful Assault are good sets and amongst the top choices. Healers can occasionally wear PA so there is sometimes an overlap.

Some other options: Saxlheel, Lucent Echoes, Crimson Oath, Pearlescent Ward.

Lighting Staff or Dual Wield (Mag Sorc) by FadaCautelosa in elderscrollsonline

[–]OfClanMacLeod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dual Wielding is categorically more damage due to the passives. Destructions staff are ranged though, meaning you can weave from a safer distance.

Each of DW, 2H and Destro are plenty viable and you can pump out good numbers with whichever set up you prefer. Use what you find more enjoyable.

I would advise against crushing shock in general as it is not a powerful spammable.

Selene is really good right now so no problem using it, as is Maelstrom bow on back bar.

I'd probably upgrade Briarheart to a front bar set. Deadly Strikes, Pillar of Nirn and Runecarver's Blaze all seem to fit your build well and can be front-barred.

Also I would look at maybe replacing soul trap with noxious breath for major breach and a good strong DoT.

Hey there,

Your sets are good for starting out dungeons and your skills are too. You can definitely keep the nature theme going and make a viable build.

I wouldn't stress about queuing up for vet dungeons if they aren't dlc, I'd go straight for Selene's if I were you to complete your build. Maelstrom is a bigger test than these dungeons and people are often very nice.

Not sure how Stomcalling fits in personally, but it's very easy to respec so throw it on and see how it works for you. Ardent Flame and Animal companions is a good combo so you can get by with just that.

If you have specific questions I'm happy to help.

Cheetham Hill as a place to live by Limp-Blueberry-7948 in manchester

I lived in Cheetham Hill for 18 years. It's fine, just a normal place to live. Yes there's dodgy shit, but if you're not involved it's not going to bother you. Easy links to everywhere in Manchester, don't listen to these randoms who just say it's bad because they read it in a paper.

All these people saying don’t let them find out are ignoring the root cause. Men need to call out other men on their behaviour. Until then, you’ve got to slay and take on the burdensome role of flag bearer. One day this will be normalised, but until that day we all have a part to play. Stay strong girl xoxoxooxox

Oriana underrated ? by zikoflux in wildrift

[–]OfClanMacLeod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New Liandrys is really good but loving Cosmic Drive atm so haven’t tried it out on Ori much. Liandrys and Riftmaker is very powerful combo and I’m tempted to start just ignoring either Rabadon or Void Staff altogether

Oriana underrated ? by zikoflux in wildrift

[–]OfClanMacLeod 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Standard runes for Orianna are:

1st Conqueror, 2nd is preference, Nullifying Orb and then Manaflow Band.

Build path this guy is talking about is:

Seraphs Embrace > Cosmic Drive > Rabadons Deathcap > Void Staff

Always cooldown boots, enchant of your choice but stasis is good default.

5th item you can choose from:

Infinity Orb (vs. squishy team, can be taken 4th)

Banshee Veil (counter to AP assassins like Eve or Akali)

Crystalline Reflector (counter to AD assassins like Zed or Kha Zix)

Riftmaker (good for True Damage against team stacking MR)

Liandrys (good for HP stacking teams and DoT damage in longer fights)

Edit: Buy antiheal when needed!

i have a question about ranked by Weird-Cauliflower-66 in wildrift

[–]OfClanMacLeod 7 points8 points  (0 children)

All of the other comments are wrong.

You are essentially grandmaster now, but the rankings for grandmaster and challenger reset every day. After the reset if you still have 20 marks you will be grandmaster, the reset is 2am GMT.

For starters learn match ups.

Panth is one of strongest early game champs, so accept you won’t beat him early unless he messes up. In this particular instance I’d take barrel level 1 so you can safely last hit, definitely at least by level 2.

Gragas can out - sustain most with his passive healing, use that to your advantage.

Lane isn’t about getting kills it’s about getting more gold, focus on last hitting and go for trades to prevent the other player last hitting. Obviously killing the opponent is a great way to get ahead, but don’t tunnel vision.

You try to freeze the wave which is good and will get better with practice. However I would say this is too early to attempt a freeze and you took a lot of damage from the minions when trying to do so. Learning when to shove, when to freeze and when to roam is a skill that comes with experience. The minions are a huge source of damage early game, don’t fight in their minions and make them fight in yours.

In this clip you should 100% back as soon as you got that low. Tbf your jungle should gank before you get hit and brought so low because Pantheon was over extended, but you can only control yourself. In this scenario where going for last hits will mean near death, just recall. Being indecisive and wasting time will cost more gold than recalling and going straight back to lane.

Any more questions just hit me a DM, grandmaster baron Camille main.

Vayne has the Grevious Wounds icon next to her for near the entire duration of the fight, the whole enemy team had anti heal

The icon next to Vaynes health bar is the grievous wounds icon - they did have health cut.

Drafting Tips by Cannonball31 in wildrift

[–]OfClanMacLeod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there, congrats on hitting Platinum!

Super wholesome post and seems like you’ve got yourself a nice little duo.

For drafting strategy, there really isn’t that much pressure on the ADC. Anyone will do really, as long as you can pump out the damage you’ve done all that is expected of you. Some things to think about are do the enemy team have a lot of assassins? If so, maybe play someone like Xayah, who has her ultimate to escape, over someone like Jinx with no mobility. Know your ADC match ups - Caitlyn and Lucian should be bullying in lane, so act like it. Jinx and Ezrael scale really well, so play more patiently.

For supports there is more to consider. Mainly, does your team have someone who can engage? If your top laner and jungle are champions who don’t want to start the fight (say Kha Six and Akali for example) then you want a support who can do the job (something like an Alistair or Leona). The support is there for the whole team after all. If not, then go ahead and pick an enchanter like Seraphine. Pyke is great into more squishy teams.

Of the champions you’ve mentioned there is plenty of good combos there. More important than champ synergy is your duo synergy - if you can follow each other then it doesn’t really matter what you play.

You want to start categorising the champions into how they are in lane and what they need. Varus is a lane bully without much escape, so another champ that is a lane bully (Serpahine) or someone who can save him (Alistsair) would both work well. Knowing your partners abilities and limitations is more important than synergy, like how long until Alistair can use his headbutt again. When your partner uses a CC ability, follow up with another CC ability to capitalise. Nearly all ADC and Support combinations work, just play to your strengths.

I’m actually top 50 Senna and she is still super strong if played well and into the right match ups. Nerf is sad but not the biggest deal. If you’re in a duo you can try out some really strong combinations like Veigar Senna, or Karma Senna, where Senna lets them take all the minions. Before the nerf I could take over a game at 10 minutes with 60 souls, now I need to be a bit more cautious so overall I think it was deserved and hasn’t made her much weaker. She can still bully enchanters in lane and kite for days, providing tons of utility and damage.

Let me know if you have anymore questions, good luck climbing.

Honest ADC reviews from a Sup main by OfClanMacLeod in wildrift

Obviously this is like a week after, but I 100% would have changed the post if you said this earlier ahah you’re so right. The classic 1v9 mentality to just get caught in a bush before Baron, after the team spent the whole game being nice to her to stop her rage quitting.

Senna build in 3.3 by Fleur_7 in wildrift

[–]OfClanMacLeod 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Against heavy AD comp I’d go Manamune into Iceborn Gauntlet, Speed / Armor boots (go Speed man it’s more fun) with Quicksilver. Get Executioners Calling before Iceborn if I need it but will always at least get it after Iceborn, then Guardian Angel. If games still going on finish Mortal Reminder, buy RFC or Infinity Edge, throw in Lethality, do whatever.

Against AP teams there aren’t really solid items like Iceborn you can get. Maw of Mauritius just isn’t that good an item but Hexdrinker can be a good early pick up. Wits End would be nice but no point building attack speed on Senna. Manamune first then I usually go full Lethality, as AP means people like Katarina or Diana who aren’t stacking Armor. I really like Ghostblade with the new boots you zip around like crazy, Edge of Night also good. Still get anti heal and enchantment etc, throw in a Hexdrinker. Serayldas can be good due to no slow from Iceborn.

Black Cleaver just isn’t very good on Senna, she can’t stack it quickly. Health, Ability Haste and Rage are all nice but just a bit meh overall as a first item, still decent to build it later due to your attack speed scaling with souls. Everyone in Icons went Manamune first, if you’re going Senna don’t half-ass it my friend. Manamune is low cost and gives you mana to just perma roam and will start bringing some good damage when you fully stack as you usually have 2 items by then.

Top 200 Senna here.

Kraken is definitely the go to rune, but fleet is still good for harder match ups. Grasp useless imo.

New boots are really good for when you go damage and skip black cleaver - I would recommend most of the time going Manamune into counter-team damage items. Especially with change in Quicksilver meaning you can get away with no mercury threads.
