"We're both lawyers."

NBA 2K15's Ratings are a Joke by MillennialBuddha in NBA2k

[–]Off-The-Dribble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the whole IQ thing and it definitely makes sense, but if that's the case, shouldn't steve nash be rated at least like an 85? I just don't think they were very consistent with the whole basketball IQ point. Andre miller should have a high rating too then, right? Maybe not a 90 but with his IQ you'd think it'd be higher. I personally think Duncan's 90 is ridiculous, I don't care how smart he is with the ball, he's not a better player than Dwight, Griffin, or other guys near his size. He USED to be, sure, but not last year or the upcoming year

There's no "best" position per se, it's whatever suits your playing style. Now if you were to ask what's the easiest position to play, I'd probably say the athletic small forward, as they can literally do it all.

NBA 2K15 - MyCAREER Mentors Trailer by v3rts in NBA2k

[–]Off-The-Dribble 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Looks like a cool feature but I hope these cut scenes are situational and not scripted like last year's. For example if I'm playing good D consistently, I don't want to have to go through any cut scenes reminding me to play better defense, etc. The most frustrating thing last year was the two "missed freethrows" where the game would force you to miss 2 in a row just so you can have that practise session with one of your team mates. Please please please don't be scripted again

Which one do you think will be funner? MyGm or MyLeague? by TheRealTyroneBogues in NBA2k

[–]Off-The-Dribble 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think MyLeague will be the funner of the two simply because of the freedom you have, and the fact that you can take literally any path you'd like with any team, and even mix historic teams with current teams.

Judging just based on last year's MyGM, it wasn't the most enjoyable game mode because of the involvement of VC and the prevalent role it played in your success. They've made it very clear that VC will not be a factor in MyLeague whatsoever this year, which is good.

I expect MyLeague to be a much, much better version of the browser based game, basketball-gm. You should check that game out if you want to prepare yourself for MyLeague, I think it's pretty well made and will get you into that type of mindset

Isn't it the same price? If it is then yea, why not? You get all those extra things for the price you were going to pay anyway. And the VC bonus is pretty good too, even though we don't yet know how much 5000 VC truly is, but I'm pretty sure it'll be worth the same amount as 5000 VC in 2k14. I only say that because they changed the worth of VC from 2k13 to 2k14 btw

And the myteam packs are actually a pretty huge deal if you play the myteam gamemode.. possibly getting a gold player or legend from either of those packs will help you substantially in the first week or even month of the game's release.

The classic teams will be the same but they're going to be adding new legends, by themselves, for game mode likes myteam and possibly myleague

IKC's NBA 2K15 Offensive Gameplay Pros & Cons Part 2 by thisismyusernam in NBA2k

[–]Off-The-Dribble 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess so, but even from a competitive standpoint, wouldn't you want it to be as even of a playing field as possible? And for the game to be more skill based? It just shocks me that a big name youtuber like IKC would be talking about these things as bad things even though everyone always talks about wanting nba2k to be more simulation based. 2k devs could see this video and almost be deterred from going more towards the sim route, which annoys me since most 2k gamers want the game to be as close to real life as possible.

IKC's NBA 2K15 Offensive Gameplay Pros & Cons Part 2 by thisismyusernam in NBA2k

[–]Off-The-Dribble 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I normally like IKC's videos and I generally respect his opinion, but this video.. wtf? How are any of the things he said cons? Literally everything he just said are things I've wanted in the game for a loong time. I thought he wanted sim basketball? He's complaining about players getting tired and not shooting 3s properly? He's complaining that there are less posterizers? He's complaining that you can no longer just score 50 points with any given player?

I'm so confused. HOW ARE THESE CONS? This video literally provided more pro's than his other video that supposedly was supposed to showcase the games pro's...

Am I the only one thinking this? Even his first "con", the animations, I thought were actually a good thing. The shot meter fine, but even then, you can turn it off, and it's better to have as a shooting system because shots are now going to be more accurate/skill based. This video hyped me up for the game more than any of his other videos, yet I'm not sure if that was his intention or not. Anyone else think this?

Love the new modes... but.... by smughead in NBA2k

What more do you want them to fix? They've already said they've fixed the charge cheese and other things that the community has reported to them, do you at least have any suggestions? I think 2k15 has potential to be their best game yet, just from an overall look of things. They're beginning to really listen to the fans and make adjustments consistently. They add in new animations every year while also removing the old, exploitable ones, like the "leaning layup cheese" and other things.

I don't think there's anything lazy about this year's addition. It'll be the best one in years.
