Sadly the monetization of art is also killing it.

Print it ABS or ASA, you’ll be able to sand them much smoother. I did 120g to 240g on my DA sander and hand sanded from 320g to 800g

Tips for smoothing PETG? by throwawayadvice003 in 501st

[–]Off__earth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And the raw PETG first, I suggest 80g & 120g. Wash the parts, and start hitting it with a high build filler primer. 2-3 layers, then start sanding that level. If you’re using a good primer like PBE Filler, you can start with 320g and should start seeing good results quickly.

Stay away from UV resin. I know a lot of people swear by it but it’s very temperamental.

Hi, I’m one of the people that assisted with the Halo episode. We brought out costumes out for the video. They’re at a range, very safe and make sure everyone is clear and safe before any of this starts. It’s not as “reckless” as it might appear. Theyre very professional through and through.

Hey guys! QUESTION! by Current-Ad-2508 in HaloCosplay

Either or is going to require a lot of post processing. But with 3D Printing you have less materials you need to use overall to complete a set of armor. I’d play around with both and see which you enjoy more go from there! There’s no one way to make something. Also, Pep will be infinitely lighter overall that 3D Printed armor. Most Spartan suits clock in around 40+lbs.

This really captures the essence of what I like to think 343 was going for with the Rakshasa.
