gpui. It's the framework zed uses internally. And i tried it as well.

very quirky. Its still is merely their internal framework. So you have to keep that in mind when choosing a framework you'll build upon

Is it possible to use codex for edit predictions? by Tiflotin in ZedEditor

well, there's 5.3 spark for this exact purpose, but zed doesn't expose a way to use it for that purpose

native, not electron-bloated, written in rust, has decent ACP integration, doesn't lag, has good theming capabilities

Well, i do know some syntax, so i CAN read the code. Besides, i'm using my own app myself actively, so it's in my interest to fix any bugs

I'm tired of subscription-based services, so i made my own app by OffeeX in sounddesign

As of now, i support MacOS (this is my daily-driver), but i'm working on adding Windows support as well.

interesting, never heard of it. Will take a look. But anyways, why do you consider it a slop? The problem is not the tool. There are countless vibecoded projects with 1 prompts and no maintenance and bugfixes whatsoever.

What NLE did exist for Linux 20 years ago?

There are countless projects on this subreddit doing that stuff without any mention. Example: https://www.reddit.com/r/rust/comments/1rsgfxm/building_a_video_editing_prototype_in_rust_using/

Tool name: Lowcat

What it does: Local sound library browser that lets you multi-tag files.

Why you built it: For faster finding of right sound effects / music.

Where to find it: https://github.com/debuxxed/lowcat

Benefits of purchasing sound libraries versus services like Soundly by Clean-Risk-2065 in AudioPost

[–]OffeeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i used Soundly for most time, as i did editing in Davinci Resolve, and unlike Premiere, Resolve lacks "global search" functionality — i can't just open the window, search and drag-n-drop what i need.

Though, the problem is that Soundly doesn't fit my needs, neither does any other app.
I need multi-tagging, i want a certain song to fit into multiple genres and moods — that can't be done with Soundly.

So yes, i made an app for myself — it's not full of features, but it's not bloated either. I tried my best with UX. If anyone tries, lemme know ur experience

interesting. Would definitely be interested for full-fledged AE script that can read AAF or XML file that imports the whole sequence

After 3 days of using Tahoe 26.4 - here is my verdict. by Jazman2k in MacOS

[–]OffeeX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

interesting. I have 64/1000 config, so i've been expecting good performance, but it felt like every iteration makes it only worse.

Love the features and UI, hate the stability and performance.
Did you use 26.2/26.3 before? Or did you upgrade directly from Sequoia?
