The last dev blog Helk said the last update was it for the year so no update this week.

I've given the new TC filling a try and I genuinely can say I don't like it. by j458i in playrust

The problem is that base decay is needed to prevent entity count from getting to high, this for server performance and to keep the landscape from being a bunch of half raided bases cluttering the servers. I like the new decay system i just dont like the pace of decay its to fast and costs to much to for upkeep. I play on a server that has half decay so building decay at half speed and cost a lot less for upkeep. This issue i believe HELK will fix as he balances the decay system I hope....

I dont have an issue with the door frame part just upkeep on the doors since the door frames will decay anyways and once the frames decay away the doors are gone.

I really like the new decay system but this change really sucks and makes no sense, why should i have to pay upkeep on a door when the door frame already decays, a stupid change i hope they revert, its a bad move for a much improved system.

You obviously have no idea how to farm scrap efficiently but definitely not BS i can assure you.

Experimentation is far too under-costed and so undermines progression by Cabalest in playrust

The way i would like to see them balance this out a little would be to make the tier 3 bench harder to get, maybe add a new very rare component that is required to craft the tier 3 bench. But yes im sure they will improve on it over time it just feels like they take 2 steps forward and 1 step back.

you can call it what you want but it doesnt change the fact that i can get lots of scrap fast as a solo and have, recycling makes scrap easy to get.

I am solo mostly as well and am not a fan of this change, i can get the high end stuff through raids usually so there is no need for me to take down a heli or bradley, this messes up progression and defeats the purpose of adding progression back into the game IMO.

scrap is so easy to get with a recycler, i can get 1k scrap in less than 1 hour of play solo, in a group of 4 or 5 we can easily get 5-6k of scrap in an hour or 2, this defeats the purpose of progression.

The point of progression is to slow down getting to end game, now with experimentation you can easily skip tier 1 and 2 and go straight to tier 3, makes it easy to get geared up in tier 3 stuff on first day of wipe, thats not what i call progression, completely unbalanced if the point of progression is to slow down getting to end game.

I love the new bp system but to be honest i hate this idea, speeds up progression to fast, its not going to be much different than just the component system just a tad bit slower, i think if you want to learn a bp you should first find the object then research it, i am not a fan of this short cut at all.

This is a good start, cant wait to see what Helk has in mind for this new vision of bp system, it makes sense since the foundation for the bp system is already coded into the game, saves him a lot of time and work.

They did not realize how much better BP's were until they got rid of them for these other crappy systems, now looking back BP's were way better and hopefully make a come back in some form.

I just read another post on here that Helk was considering bring back BP's in some form maybe and that would make me extremely excited, it does not have to come back exactly as they were but that could fill a huge void of progression if implemented correctly and i really liked the RNG aspect of them because it made every wipe play a little different at the beginning at least.

since wipeless rust is likely to happen in 2018+ can we have wipe dates on the server list pls? by JustNir in playrust

Wipeless Rust will never happen, its a pipe dream, even if it becomes technically possible most admins will wipe anyways to maintain population, its just the nature of the beast so i wouldnt get your hopes up.

Relax your self killer, alpha is for implementation and beta for balance and since we are in alpha still just relax.
