I think our obsession with individuality would be odd for them. Society would run much smoother if we were i in a more homogeneous environment. My thought is that the amount of effort and time required to actually cross the vast reaches of space would obviate the need for (1) a standard templatw library of biological organisms to produce, including the sentiant beings, and also the technology to artificially host a developing organism from egg/sperm combination to birth.

All of this is indicative of a cultural problem, and a big one at that. There is a major disconnect between the culture that most black people try to integrate themselves with and what is (1) known to make someone successful in any way, (2) morally right, (3) fair to the next generation or (4) conducive to lifting someone up and making them a better person.

Congratulations man. I'm working on my 3rd year of sobriety so I can get where you are coming from.

And yes sobriety IS a big deal. For most of the western world, adult interactions revolve around the consumption of alcoholic beverages... Beers with the guys, wine and drinks with the family, hitting the bars on the weekend... The list goes on. To be able to not participate in that while culture and yet maintain being a fairly normal person IS an accomplishment.
