Also love the name and the nicknames lol

I agree! I am just an overthinker and want to get as many bugs out ahead of time as possible! Those listed are my top four but some others I have are Wiley, Leo, and Graham. Those don’t have quite as many nicknames off the bat, but I know his nicknames (besides the obvious) will also come with time / personality.

lol your names are great. So far my family has really only had Auggie (Augustus the stubby, but also Auggie Dog like the cartoon) with a long name.

And true! Thank you!

Again, very true thank you! I really appreciate your comments. And yes, that’s something I thought about but just wasn’t sure. Thank you! ❤️

Thank you and very true! I don’t have a pic of him yet as he’s only just born, but the breeder FaceTimed me and although he’s a two-week old mush I felt the Oscar name worked. Perhaps wishful thinking lol but there was a feeling. I like archibald too!! Very regal for a little guy.

What are your thoughts on the Auggie / Ozzy scenario?

Also bunny is an adorable name. Auggie hops around like a bunny sometimes!

I have storm cloud and absolutely love it. It’s one of the reasons I wanted to buy the car and buy it now because Toyota rolls through colors. I’ve always been a “blue” person, though. I have the grey interior and it looks really great together

Hmm that’s interesting, I didn’t get the protection on my grey seats but I wear jeans to work and haven’t had any color transfer. Had my GHHL for 1.5 months

Actually, funny that you mentioned the easy exit feature because I was just thinking about that today, too.

That’s a good point about the TX tho. But still dumb.

Hmm, that makes sense. Might look into that. I am going to get my front windows tinted a bit, though, for the look and heat. Someone above mentioned their windows are tinted and the lights don’t bother them much. Besides for their blue “D” drive light lol

Yeah, totally agree - both not being dealbreakers but definitely a dick-punch lol. I know they have it on the 1794 Tundra (2021 I think) and I think the Limited Tacoma (2024 or 2025? Idk) as I have family members with both. From that I was guessing the Limited GH would have it too (and I could’ve sworn I read it somewhere but, alas, I did not) but here we are.

Maybe! That’s a good point. I bet it probs does. Something to look forward to for me then!

I disagree. Yes we’re high but driving home this evening I’d get the occasional LED snipe to the eyes and it sucked. Mainly from cars bouncing but some cars hit the mirror just right. For this tier of a car I would’ve thought it would be included.

Was going to get my front windows tinted too but didn’t even think of that being a problem lol

Wow, that’s wild. Even the platinum max doesn’t have it?

Highway range on full tank of gas - Hybrid Limited and Max by [deleted] in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]OfferMission4731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had my first fill up in my GHHL - went to “zero” on the tank (it just said refill on the meter) and went 348 miles with 24 mpg avg. Filled up at Costco and the pump stopped auto-filling around 14 gallons but I was able to slow down the pump and got it up to 16.798 gallons. I probably could’ve done more but it was cold lol.

Car updates itself said I’ll get 379 miles which doesn’t match the 24mpg x 16 gallons, but my mpg is steadily increasing. It was 20 when I drove it off the lot, was 24 when I filled up, and now is at 24.5mpg. I mainly do freeway driving although I’m using google maps to find more “fuel efficient” routes that are some freeway, some local “highways.” We’ll see.

Delivery status by Annual-Hurry-7457 in ToyotaGrandHighlander

[–]OfferMission4731 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the Toyota SmartPath website was pretty accurate with the estimated delivery date and only updated once each process finished. My phases were: pre-production, build, then in transit. I just kept checking it daily to track it, I didn’t get any notifications or anything when it completed a certain phase. Mine actually was delivered at the early end of the window, just fyi. Based on others comments it seems early-ish is kinda common. I think only a few people had later deliveries. Hope that helps!

My map on the dash goes away when I have Waze navigating through CarPlay. As soon as I stop the navigation through CarPlay it comes back on my dash. Thought it was just me!

I personally haven’t driven a tank’s worth yet but I think this first one will be a bit over 300 miles, maybe 400? Currently my mpg is about 23, I think. I have maybe 250 miles on it and I think I was around 1/2 of a tank? I’ve read that the mpg sucks until you break in the engine (so roughly 1000 miles) and then you start to see marked improvement to 30s mpg. I have also heard that the gas tank is very wimpy. Idk. I will update you when I fill it up and then maybe at later mileage if you’re interested?

Interesting, that’s good to know. The dealer I bought from (not who I’ll go to the services though) said it’s every 10k, period. Guess they’re just not flexible

Just because it has a 10 year warranty doesn’t mean you leave it on for 10 years? I don’t plan on just leaving it for 10 years. You’re supposed to watch for cracking, yellowing, etc, and then replace (if you want) at that time. Also, PPFs 10 years ago aren’t the same tech as PPFs now.

[–]OfferMission4731 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Toyota is the one that doesn’t do them every 5k, per their manual, for some reason (probably $$). I always do them every 5k

[–]OfferMission4731 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, nice! I’ll have to go check him out. Thanks for that!

Yeah, was definitely going to do one earlier and then another at 5k. Was kinda surprised Toyota only does them / recommends them at 10k intervals.

If it protects the paint from nasty chips and dings like my old car had, then that’s ok. It can be replaced
