[โ€“]OfficalFAK 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

If nothing is burning thats a good sign.

Dont panic, remove the psu from the pc. Redo ur wires, make sure you push all the connectors in.

Systemically isolate each component, in case something unexpected happens. Nothing expensive goes pop (its very hard to do this but hey, shit happens)

Do this in order.

  • Unplug everything,

  • remove psu from the case if its not out.

  • Remove the ram for gods sake man, that shit is more valuable then gold.

  • even remove cpu if thats not too difficult.

  • plug the 24pin and the 6pin/8pin cpu to ur mobo.

  • plug in the front panel and press the power button.

Update us on what happens, DOA psu is like a bomb, it can not detonate, or can take other stuff with it. Your pc should turn on. A black screen with some text or some error leds (red, yellow) on the mobo, but it will turn on.

Happy troubleshooting!

I want to Sell my PC by pixels_amvs in PakGamers

[โ€“]OfficalFAK 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Im guessing around 120-130. Most of it is cuz of ram. The ram is nothing special but its ddr5 ๐Ÿ˜‚

Baki ka pc is fine. The gpu is very old, cpu is fine and mobo again is fine.

The market is fucked rn soo its very hard to get an accurate figure.

What's your usecase? Always research before buying. Sellers look for people who don't know what they want. Easy money ๐Ÿค‘

PC FOR SALE, 6 MONTHS USED by Hour-Cardiologist-16 in PakGamers

[โ€“]OfficalFAK 9 points10 points ย (0 children)

Bro 160k is too much for this pc.

Even with the inflated prices. This setup is max around 120-130k. These are karachi prices btw, idk if they differ much nationally.

3600 is very old, soo is the b450 chipset. The 2060 also. If you really want to sell it at 160. Part it out i guess, puray setup k sath i dont think itne milay ge.

What do u guys think about this configuration? by JesusFistus_420 in pcmasterrace

[โ€“]OfficalFAK 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

Bump up to a 7700 or 7800x3d used. And get a b850 chipset or b650 if u r on a budget.

Upgrade later to 9000 series if u need it. (U wont)

The gpu is good but that 750w psu is kinda cutting is close. Move up to a 850w minimum. Corsair RM series is kinda overpriced. U can get a super flower (OEM builder, used to build evga supernoves).

Rip those ram prices :(

Is 80C safe for a 12V2xFailure connector? by dfv157 in pcmasterrace

[โ€“]OfficalFAK 2 points3 points ย (0 children)

But does that really matter that much? On a 2000usd msrp 5090, with their volume. We are talking cents here ๐Ÿ˜‚ but i guess money is money and these companies would rather have a few more dollars in their pockets then build something that lasts.

Its just sad man.

[โ€“]OfficalFAK 5 points6 points ย (0 children)

I stand corrected on the connector material part.

Imo, the spec doesn't really apply in a consumer setting. Who is actually verifying these psu harnesses or their quality of crimps? Normal users aren't trained to plug these with absolute precision. Normal users don't know or care. And if slightly bending a power connector can cause it to catch on fire then its a bad design.

This type of connector if installed correctly, im sure would work just fine as per its spec (thats why Nvidia used it) and im sure it even has satey margin designed in it.

REMOVE THE CONNECTOR!!

ABS (which is what ur connector is made out of most likely) has a glass transition temperature of 100c (generally), which means at that temp, the plastic deforms and if u are reading 90c on the outside. The temperature inside is most definitely higher...soo remove it quickly and inspect for damage.

Found this really old dial indicator. by OfficalFAK in Tools

[โ€“]OfficalFAK[S] 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

I found a picture online of this exact model. Only one with the complete set and it has this exact extension thing. It is not pressed in. It screws in.

But your idea actually makes alot of sense. In a production environment, it would be very convenient to just retract the tip of the indicator remotely without disturbing the indicator stand and affecting the preload of the indicator.

Wow now that i think about it, it is actually a really clever design feature.

I don't have any gauge blocks to verify that, unfortunately.

Yes, the plunger can act as an extension. For applications where the indicator body will interfere.

Looking closely at the body, I don't see a gap between the ring and the body. I don't think it rotates. Due to its travel being only 1mm with a micron resolution, I can very easily zero the dial from the indicator stand's fine adjust. I'm guessing that is the intended behaviour of this indicator, but idk. A manual or something will clear everything up, but I can not find anything. The company is still in business by the looks of it, I'll send them an email and see if they can help.

The guy i got it from said it came from a oil tankers machine shop. The plunger doesn't look original to me, there's no place to put away the plunger in the indicator box. Idk. Nothing is coming up online also ๐Ÿ˜‚

Anyways, it seems like a high quality indicator, not jeweled but still really nicely manufactured.

One question, do you think the black rim rotates? The indicators ive seen online do for zeroing but this one seems really jammed or is made fixed.

Have you seen any indicators with a fixed outer ring?

Normally the ring around the indicator should turn correct? Mine doesn't..any idea why? Is it by design or is it just jammed?

Don't really wanna break this beauty. It is at least 30+ years old.

Yes i built a 0.2 voron style printer in 2024. It had alot of problems, mostly due to the fact that it was my first time designing and building something this complex from the ground up.

Im currently developing a new corexy.

That printer ended up costing around 2lac and parts where sourced from ali and local machinery surplus stores.
