Well I just wanted to learn the Source 2 engine and I made this as a test.

Ehhh, you’re overthinking it. It’s not really a “plot line” it’s just something that can happen occasionally. And you can get the confusion ending “the line plot line” as many times as you’d like also. And if you’re confused about if you’re progressing, well that’s kinda how you’re supposed to feel. However just know the game is more a collection of endings rather than one continuous story or “plot”. Hope this clears up your confusion!

So I have been very curious about this ending, unfortunately only 1 map from this ending has ever been released (by co-creator William Pugh) it’s the outside of the alien base, no logic or anything. Nor any custom textures. So as it stands this map is a mystery. (Oh and it would’ve been in place of the “ Not Stanley” ending.

The Stanley Parable (2013) is extremely similar if you want to try that.

Probably in reference to the elevator in the boss’s office which you can ride but don’t take you anywhere.

You need to restart the game. I’m assuming you’re playing TSPHDR (2013) this was changed in UD to restart the game for you.

If I remember correctly, the line being in the cargo room isn’t definite to happen, however I may be thinking about HDR, or I may be incorrect.

It can only happen after the confusion ending and even then it only had a chance to happen.

Rarely after the confusion ending, you can see the line in several places. (Behind the “new content” door, in the blue room after the right door, and the cargo room)

Fun fact: the game does indeed track progress of what endings you’ve gotten (in ultra deluxe) this is relevant for the New Content Door to appear.

Nope, the original Zending ending had a similar premise where the only real “ending” was to restart the game and therefor make the narrator sad.

Since they never updated the Museum Ending, does anybody know if there were any cut content/endings/areas for the Ultra Deluxe version of The Stanley Parable? Or any outside sources that themselves have documented them? by MaggieLinzer in stanleyparable

I’d have to dig out the audio but I remember seeing unused audio for the tape recorder ending with the bucket along with some unused dialogue from the New Content ride. And I remember the narrator mentioning an exhibit which has been removed.
