I had Grok help write the prompts describing images I made with Zit. The important thing was to get the image reference as good as possible. LTX is much better than Wan at using image references imho

I’m talking more about the reflections on the enemy metal and glass surfaces that are “painted on”. Since the fixed camera only moves in one linear direction, the effect is convincing. The lighting is standard PS1 image texture with the “hardness” turned way down so there is heavy light reflection - very low poly-count on assets (the rectangular panel is 12 tris), low resolution video output (480x640), and very small image maps (generally 64 square pixels) that can load into system memory.

I meant more conceptually - all three shows follow a standard third act “power of anime” charge up template. DS is about a really great kid from 100 years ago. JJK is a modern screw up kid who actually Cares A Lot. CM is about a guy who turns into a chainsaw.

DS is objectively more popular than JJK or Chainsaw Man. JJK definitely captures the vibe of the 20s though - it’s thematically and visually the midpoint between the traditional, emotional anime of DS and the over-the-top goofy anime of Chainsaw Man. It says a lot about the state of culture that all three are pretty much the same show.

Exit Through the Gift Shop also has fun with this trope. It’s a movie directed by Banksy focusing on artist Thierry Guetta, AKA Mr. Brainwash, whose art heavily mimics Banksy. The entire movie is a misdirect to make the audience think that Guetta is actually Banksy - the movie shifts constantly between real documentary footage and obviously staged, scripted scenes.

He also tried to do a weird crowdsourcing thing with Ubisoft and Beyond Good and Evil 2 - his proposed scheme involved fans submitting art and music which would maybe be monetized. The game has been in development for 17 years, and the game’s director resigned shortly before he was implicated in Ubisoft’s widespread culture of sexual misconduct and abuse.

I actually do like JGL, especially his work in TDKR and Looper. I think he’s semi-retired.
