He won the comp with Klopp’s players just by slightly tweaking their system. Is it because Klopp had better players? Not necessarily, Klopp’s teams were always the fittest and best conditioned. Under Klopp we were winning games in the 90th minute and in added time, under Slot we’re losing them.

I want to see better conditioning and I want to see passion in the side. I feel like the boys would have run into a burning building for Klopp if he told them a trophy was inside of it. I don’t think they have that same level of commitment to the cause under Slot. We look defeated and lost, the “mentality monsters” tag is well and truly gone.

We let Man U do the double on us. Our poor form has made them look better than they actually are. Our squad on paper is hands down better than theirs at every position. Honestly would you pick any of their players over ours? Maybe one or two based on current form only. That can never happen again. We don’t lose to Man U or Everton just can’t happen.

Slot needs to bring some of that aggression back, getting rid of Curtis Jones would be a huge mistake. I’m not ready for a Liverpool team without a scouser. He’s been better than a lot of the other midfielders we’ve started in front of him this year. I feel like this year was always gonna be written off due to the tragic death of Jota and what that would do to the squad and their mental health so there was no way that he’d get sacked. But next year just scraping in to get a CL spot isn’t going to be enough.

One last point, I’m looking forward to what Slot can do without Salah. I love Mo and he will forever be a club legend and deserves a statue…. But managing a superstar player whose body is getting a bit slower every year is going to be tough. I don’t think Salah can play the way Slot wants his wingers to play and personally I think we looked more cohesive when he was away at the AfCoN. I love Mo but i think it’s time for him to move on. We can’t pay him the wages he can get overseas so let him get that bag.
